Big-Tech has managed to upset at least 75 million people and users and this seems to me to be a very bad spot to be in. They can't afford to do anything at all against the Left because doing so will certainly bring new laws to reign them in and that is the last thing they want.
How do they get out of this mess?
What will be there next move?
I believe this move will bring competition like they have never had before and that may be the final outcome.
Neither do I. I will be on sites that are free speech. What happens to Twitter, Facebook, et al. I do not care.
I wrote an Email to Elon Musk begging him to step up and save the nation from this tyranny, he has the internet satellites up already but he would have to get into the phone, tablet and computer business I would imagine it would be easy for him to do this with all of the tablets ect. created for

And they will become an echo chamber. It loses its appeal to many liberals. No conservatives to bash.

I'm no tech guru but I can envision a society where website hosting, shopping, banking, or even just trying to converse with one another has to use their platforms, their servers, and their apps or they just won't work. They may lose 1/2 their users at first, but in the end they get EVERYONE.
Meantime, for a little insurance and a few bucks, they get Biden to agree to transact gov't business using their framework. What if the only way to calculate your income tax was to use MS Office? Or your SS check came through Google Pay exclusively?
It won't happen overnight, but just like the mom-and-pop businesses that all went belly-up during the lockdown, independents will be targeted and eliminated. Parler will be just the first of many. In the end there will be just a few global conglomerates running the 'net, worldwide.
Unlimited money and power -- that's what they're after.
This is going to KILL cloud computing.
Amazon withdrew cloud hosting services from Parler literally overnight. Why? A warped redefinition of terms of service.
They’re arguing liberals have smeared you as a terrorist supporter, so we can pull service immediately. Something that can happen to anyone that the liberal lynch mob decides to target.
Not “We’re not going to renew your contract” ... which gives you warning and a chance to migrate.
No due process to argue liability. They decided, and they cost you revenue (at best), your business, at worst.
This isn’t just a violation of free speech and civil rights. It says tech companies will violate CONTRACT LAW claiming “reputation”, aka, you’re labeled as a blasphemer so no services for you.
Economic POW er. Use it. Know your fascist enemies. Go small. Go independent. Live a simpler life. Stay healthy.
We need to petition their backbone Internet carriers to drop them, and the US Government to drop them. The US government still owns what you know as the Internet.
Big-Tech is defacto acting as publishers, not as platforms. By editing and censoring content they don’t like, they have waived their section 230 civil immunities granted them by Congress.
We don’t have to repeal the section 230 immunities...by their own actions, those it applied to have reassumed liabilities as publishers. Let the lawsuits fly.
