Longtime Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) has joined a growing number of House Republicans in saying he plans to vote to impeach President Trump on Wednesday following a deadly riot by a mob of his supporters at the U.S. Capitol last week.

“Today the President characterized his inflammatory rhetoric at last Wednesday’s rally as ‘totally appropriate,’ and he expressed no regrets for last week’s violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol,” Upton said in a statement Tuesday.

I have voted for his primary opponents every time, unfortunately all the “good” candidates are too scared to run against him. And we are a district that is turning purple.

I still abide by the Buckley rule, but if he is going to act like a democrat, I my be tempted to reconsider that, and just retire him.

The Capitol ‘Insurrection’ looked exactly like what happens to a high school classroom when the Teacher ducks out for 5 minutes.

It’s got nothing to do with facts or law. It’s about the GOP’s Trump haters (Upton, Liz Cheney et al.) coming out the closest and kicking the man on his way out the door.

Only good thing I can say about Fred Upton is that his niece Kate is hot.

Republican voters have to stop voting for their own demise.

Which means they have to stop voting Republican.

We need to bring the Republican party to its knees in 2022. That means not only refusing to vote for any Republican, but voting against them in the general election.

Then, and only then, can we make a decision about whether the GOP is worth saving or we need to completely abandon it for a new party.

The GOPe will not listen to us--ever--until they understand we are the key to whether the GOP ceases to exist or not.

In any negotiation, the person willing to walk away from the negotiating table has the upper hand. The GOPe doesn't believe we will walk away. Thus they have never negotiated with us in good faith.

He needs to be primaried, but he won't be because he and his family (Whirlpool) are too powerful.

Just don't vote for him in the general, he'll lose to the Dem, which is no worse.

No need to worry about that, Flimsey Grahamnesty, John Cornyn, Micro Rubio and Thom Tillis are going to give the Democrats a permanent majority with amnesty for illegal aliens.

REPUBLICANS are going to give their friends across the aisle that permanent majority, they have been working towards that goal for 30 years.
That’s what the policy of open borders/amnesty has been all about.

Two parties exist for one reason: to give voters the illusion of choice

...and this "illusion of choice" could not, would not exist without the explicit complicity of the Republican party...not just the RINOs, GOPe, Bushies, Rockefeller Republicans or whatever other name you may have for these traitors, but the Republican party itself.

The Bill Buckley Rule kicks in on this traitor.

Lowell Wiecker was a GOP Senator from Connecticut that was such a slimy backstabber weasel that Bill Buckley led a campaign for Republicans to vote for his new to the scene opponent, Democrat Joel Lieberman. The rest is history. The slimy weasel went down to defeat.

Voting is over. They control it.
They get away with it. And Repubs bend over every time.

There is only one person capable of starting a credible 3rd party: Donald J. Trump. If he leads, millions will follow with their time, money and votes. The GOP can be annihilated in 2022. 34 Senate seats and over 200 House seats up in smoke. The Patriot Party will be the official Minority in the House and Senate and the GOP will cease to exist at the federal level. People like Jim Jordan and Marsha Blackburn will have to get on board or be left in the dustbin of history.
