Christie: If Trump's actions aren't impeachable, 'then I don't really know what is'

Former Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said on Sunday that he believed President Trump's actions before supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol last week amounted to an "impeachable offense."

While appearing on ABC's "This Week," Christie, a former U.S. attorney who has supported Trump, said that Republicans in Congress would have to "vote their conscience" if an impeachment article is brought forward and "look at what happened."

"What we had was an incitement to riot at the United States Capitol. We had people killed, and to me there's not a whole lot of question here," said Christie.

Christie added that if he were in Congress, he would vote in favor of impeachment.

"I think if inciting to insurrection isn't [an impeachable offense], I don't really know what it is," he said.

Hey Chris, I am still waiting to hear exactly what Trump said that’s so impeachable. Does anyone know?

Trump has a screw loose.

The only screw loose I see here is in your head... and Christie’s. You are just as bad as those who are calling for Trump to be unseated using the 25th Amendment for instability. BAH!

You seem to think that the only way is to cooperate with the Deep State. Agree with them. Go along, to get along. That way is just a slower way to reach the same socialist goals. Accept the Statist Quo... pun intended. That is what too many so called “conservatives” politicians have done for the past century, accept the latest Progressive gains as what they must conserve as a starting point, instead of aggressively pushing back in all areas. They seemed to think the only thing that counted was tax rates.

Donald Trump understood it was EVERYTHING, and struggled to grab back as much of our liberty as he could during his time in office!

The Casper Milquetoast conservatives were too damned comfortable arguing the Statist Quo status quo after losing time and time again the aggressive gains the Progressives carved out every time they gained ascendency.

The Progressives WILL now be aggressive again, and those so-called conservatives will write lots of scholarly articles about how bad those policies are which will be read among themselves. . . And they will raise completely ineffective objections to those gains, but they will happily party with their progressive colleagues in the evenings, and make investments in things that will make themselves money based on the progressive moves, all while feeling morally and snottily superior for taking the high road by not supporting that dirty politics of Donald Trump that got things done.

No, what Trump said is not incitement under Brandenburg v. Ohio. I thought Seton Hall was a better law school than that.

“ON LIBERTY

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Among the natural rights of the colonists are these: first, a right to life; secondly, to liberty; thirdly to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can.

The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.

Samuel Adams “

Its traitorous comments like this that make me appreciate President Trump even more. All he ever did was try to make this a better place for all Americans to live and all he ever got for it was being slandered by back stabbing ingrates, a corrupt media, and a democrats party filled with communist. All the useful idiots who fell for their lies will someday find out how they were used and when they start getting the same treatment when they are no longer useful it will be too late fir them. Personally, I have been agonized about why God did not answer my prayers the way I wanted. I just have to think he has other plans and I hope it means the end is near and that Jesus is coming very soon.

Voila’, Christie and I are in agreement. He *does not* know what an impeachable offense is.
