A big part of the problem is the great majority of people are not savvy in basic tech - they are limited to installing & uninstalling apps on their phone or whatever I-toy. They are totally at the mercy of Apple’s whims.

Point to me where me or anyone else said that. I’ll wait.
While we all wait - more bizarre unrelated to anything trivia: Trump is not an Elvis impersonator! (who could have guessed???)

Ever heard of a broadband processor ?
Its the other OS that secretly runs on your phone and is used to access the carrier's network.
You can't hack that.

But it will all be coordinated by “independent” outfits like SPLC and the David Brock center, so it will be completely private and there will be nothing anyone can do about it, not that a HarrisBiden DOJ would even want to.
Actually it won’t surprise me to see them look at replacing s.230 with something creating civil liability for ISPs and web hosts that allow “harmful speech” or “criminal materials” on their services, begetting a massive “private” crackdown on all opposition speech online. The HarrisBiden 15-member supreme court will decree that is what the constitution always meant.

In 1776 they didn’t have Twitter or Facebook. No, they had at the churches and the taverns.
The lockdowns make more sense now?

As we do nothing because we won’t or can’t,I have a feeling of the possibility Free Republic will just have a typical “server not found” or “Domain for sale” screen one day.

Google can be just as bad with Android apps (Gap is a banned app.)

I also noticed that on Dec 6, apple messaging was dropping messages and forcing them to cellular if there were any messages that mentioned the Rally and the Capitol. This went on for an hour or so and then went back to normal.
Maybe it was all the messaging traffic from the ground there gumming up the system but it was suspicious at the least.
