A big part of the problem is the great majority of people are not savvy in basic tech - they are limited to installing & uninstalling apps on their phone or whatever I-toy. They are totally at the mercy of Apple’s whims.
You or I are not tech savy enough either.
Ever heard of a broadband processor ?
Its the other OS that secretly runs on your phone and is used to access the carrier's network.
You can't hack that.
I dont have apple, and never will, but sir you are correct on the basic tech savey of us old schoolers.
BTW, I have a flip phone. I will never have a smart phone and when they quit making flip phones, I will never have another cell phone.
