NO one is talking about this, but let me clue you in on how sensitive government buildings are guarded.

All of them have a final defensive position. All the cops/guards know this. It is part of their emergency action plan. In the case of the Capitol Police, it was made obvious that it was the hallway leading to the chambers. That is the final place where the police could protect Congress, which is their mission.

So an angry mob found the final defensive position. And a 14 year veteran should have known better. There was no path to peace, love, and serenity for anyone who is part of mob action and rushes to a final defensive position. No, there is only death and heartbreak.

If anyone wants to test that theory, take you car and try to run past any federal reservation. NSA, DIA, CIA.....pick one. You will become holy. Because you will be filled full of holes.

I am not saying something didn’t go wrong with the security plan. Something did and it is confusing. The cops who walked past the mob without warning them of the peril. I can’t explain that.

But if I am a guard charged with protecting people with my life, and a mob (whether they are armed it is impossible to determine that quickly), I am shooting. There is no other recourse because all other security measures have failed at that point.

We should dispense with the need for a name. The mob put cops is a very shitty position of having to use deadly force.

Complete this sentence for me, “I am going to be part of a mob that breaks into the Capitol building, overpowers the police, rush up the stairs to the chambers, and then ____________________________________.”

What they hell were they thinking?

All excellent points. We know how the left works, give them one thread, ie, the death of this girl, and the game is on. The left hyper focuses on this and becomes the tip of the spear and paints all patriots with the same brush.

Assuming that what you wrote is accurate, why did only one police officer fire at only one protestor? Why were there no warnings issued (or were there?) Why was no tear gas or other non lethal response deployed before the mob approached the perimeter where lethal force would be used (or was there?)

The handling of the police response suggests gross incompetence at the very least.

She served in the Air Force, not in Congress. How was she to know it was the "final defensive position?" Some visual clue? The whites of their eyes?

By the way, if there is a "final defensive position" in the Capitol bldg, it should be somewhere past the sign "EXIT."

The BS Flag is on the field, Marine:

1. There were no warnings posted, no signs, no bullhorns warning anyone that this was a "shoot first, ask questions later" zone.

2. The man shooting Ashli aimed at her without any advance warnings for some time before firing, then fired a killing shot with deliberation. Since when are American citizens shot to death out of hand?

3. There were several armed Capitol Police officers next to, and behind Ashli when she was shot: one actually aimed his weapon at the source of the shot momentarily. If this zone was "kill immediately without warning" zone, why did the other officers calmly watch?

4.You are condoning a policy that is anathema to American citizens and our rights under the Constitution. This wasn't invading a nuke site, this wasn't an armed insurrection, this was a group of ordinary Americans who were trying to get the government's attention while they were voting on our future,

Ashli was murdered - and by excusing the man who did this, you are trying to justify it.
