Let’s not be even slightly disheartened when POTUS speaks of VPOTUS “doing his job” or “doing the right thing”.
This si calculated so that the left cannot say he pressured Pence into a specific decision.
Don’t think that Trump and Pence have not discussed the Joint Session (JSC).
His “job” in presiding over the JSC is entirely an Article 1 function.
POTUS cannot tell Pence what he should do in that position; he cannot impress on Pence that he is a benefactor.
The decision is on Pence’s shoulders.
If they spoke of anything, it was what the Constitution allows and requires.
