Trump did not leave the Capitol with fewer policeman than usual. I read that one policeman said he was sent home early in the day, which was very unusual. He was not called in when the disruptions began but he went in anyway.
Capital police knew every senator and congressman was in the Capitol and that there would be hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters on the mall. They did not have even adequate security around the Capitol building.
President Trump did not twice decline having the national guard on the Mall. Either they thought all Trump supporters would be as peaceful as we have been for five years at all those Trump rallies or someone involved in the Capitol’s security was in on the breach.
Property taxes, because you really don’t own it. Sad when I see foreclosures only because of property taxes. I know a fair amount is needed for roads, schools, etc., but a lot of local governments only view it as cash cow.
