Well, we have snow and 7 degrees temp....wind chill at -8. Very weird for our part of the country! We aren’t cleaning anything. It’ll clear out by tomorrow. No one here owns a snow shovel. LOL!
I love those lilies, too. We have several varieties that bloom at different times of the year...as I am sure you do.
I’m still collecting new lilies. Left a gorgeous collection at the old house. This summer I will dig up some new garden space in full sun. Can’t believe it was zero degrees today. Minus 11 for tonight. Looks better in the forecast by next Saturday, near 30. Will be a relief. đ
Nice to see ya! Happy Valentine’s Day!
đ
I’m still using my 11-year-old MAC-Mini.
It does everything I want it to, so why change?
I tried upgrading a few years ago to a laptop and ended up with a $700.00 Paperweight.
Anyway, I dread the day when it crashes for good.
I was forced to replace it. It was almost impossible to use. I still start it up once in awhile trying to get info that I need..
Eventually, I will be able to get it out of the house.
Hope you had a beautiful day.

Got in too big a hurry...again...pinging to #388
I get it. Sometimes I think “Big Tech” sends stuff to make our computers obsolete so that we HAVE to buy new ones.
Maybe that’s what happened to my laptop.
Bible in a Year:
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
During an outing, we met a woman who had known my husbandâs family since he was a child. She looked from Alan to our son, Xavier. âHeâs the spitting image of his daddy,â she said. âThose eyes. That smile. Yep. Looks just like him.â As the woman delighted in acknowledging such a strong resemblance between father and son, she even noted similarities in their personalities. Still, though they are alike in many ways, my son doesnât reflect his father perfectly.
Thereâs only one SonâJesusâwho reflects His Father completely. Christ is the âimage of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creationâ (Colossians 1:15). In Him and through Him and for Him all things were created (v. 16). âHe is before all things, and in him all things hold togetherâ (v. 17).
We can spend time in prayer and Bible study, discovering the Fatherâs character by looking at JesusâGod in the flesh. He invites us to witness His love in action by examining how He interacts with others in Scripture and in our day-to-day living. After surrendering our lives to Christ and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, we can grow in knowing and trusting our loving Father. He transforms us to reflect His character, so we can live for Him.
What a joy it would be if others could say we look just like Jesus!
Reflect & Pray
What character trait of Jesus have you seen cultivated in your life over the last year? What trait would you like to cultivate in the coming year?
Jesus, please help me know You more as You make me more like You!

Bummer! Wish you could, too.
Me too, went to work. Better than staying home and getting cabin fever.đ
Bible in a Year:
Do not conform to the pattern of this world.
During college, I spent a good chunk of a summer in Venezuela. The food was astounding, the people delightful, the weather and hospitality beautiful. Within the first day or two, however, I recognized that my views on time management werenât shared by my new friends. If we planned to have lunch at noon, this meant anywhere between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. The same for meetings or travel: timeframes were approximations without rigid punctuality. I learned that my idea of âbeing on timeâ was far more culturally formed than Iâd realized.
All of us are shaped by the cultural values that surround us, usually without us ever noticing. Paul calls this cultural force the âworldâ (Romans 12:2). Here, âworldâ doesnât mean the physical universe, but rather refers to the ways of thinking pervading our existence. It refers to the unquestioned assumptions and guiding ideals handed to us simply because we live in a particular place and time.
Paul warns us to be vigilant to ânot conform to the pattern of this world.â Instead, we must be âtransformed by the renewing of [our] mindâ (v. 2). Rather than passively taking on the ways of thinking and believing that engulf us, weâre called to actively pursue Godâs way of thinking and to learn how to understand His âgood, pleasing and perfect willâ (v. 2). May we learn to follow God rather than every other voice.
Reflect & Pray
How would you describe the values and assumptions that surround you? What would it look like for you to not conform to the worldâs ways and to instead follow Jesusâ ways?
God, I donât even recognize my assumptions and values most of the time. Help me to live out Your truth and Your mind in it all.

Happy GratiTuesday! Sunny today, about 10 degrees, but no wind so feels like a balmy 20! đ
Sounds great. Maybe you can enjoy a walk with Moose while itâs âbalmyâ. LOL! Itâs 25 here but feels like 14. Luckily, we havenât lost electricity like so many have.
