There is a two-ton block of ice in my driveway, that has my car embedded in the center of it.

Good Monday evening to you. Freezin’ here in WI.
-10 tonight. 🥶
Hope the snow has stopped elsewhere!
❄️❄️❄️
It’s freezing cold here too.
No Globull Warming for you!
Stay warm as you can. I don’t know how you stand that kind of cold...but I am a wimp. LOL!
LOL! Thanks for that at any rate! :)
It’s gonna be -14 this weekend again. 😳🥶
I checked the LP tank level today....40%, so we are OK for a while.
Using LP fast when it’s this cold for more than a week.
The LP company is supposed to auto-fill, but I’m not taking chances, so I check the level myself. Was glad to see it at 40%.
good night🌙⭐️💫
Maybe you should top it off...just in case. I’d hate it if you ran out in the middle of this Deep Freeze!
Aw! I just read your car is/was stuck in a block of ice! Winter is not fun. Not since I stopped skiiing, skating and sledding....a million years ago.
Some roads were still not good here today. So cold the snow won’t melt and looks like some townships are not salting the highways. Still need to use 4 wheel drive. No drifts, just ice and packed snow, not that bad. My standards for good driving conditions are way lower than usual. 🙃
I do top off my truck’s gas tank in the cold. Always a good idea when it’s zero degrees all the time. The LP only gets delivered when the level drops enough to make it worth their trip. I think there is a 300 gallon minimum delivery. Was glad to see it nearly half full tonight. Will check again in a few days. In 2018 when we moved here, we had -30 for a while. Then we realized how fast LP is used in this house. This is a bigger house than our old one, but the tank is only 500 gallons. Old house had 1000 gallon tank. That lasted a long time. Miss that massive tank! Heating security. 🔥
Man’s Best Friend takes on the Old Grey “Lady”.
Well, the car is finally cleared but we expect ,ore snow tonight.
Ugh.
Bible in a Year:
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
The cockeyed squid lives in the ocean’s “twilight zone” where sunlight barely filters through the deep waters. The squid’s nickname is a reference to its two extremely different eyes: the left eye develops over time to become considerably larger than the right—almost twice as big. Scientists studying the mollusk have deduced that the squid uses its right eye, the smaller one, to look down into the darker depths. The larger, left eye, gazes upward, toward the sunlight.
The squid is an unlikely depiction of what it means to live in our present world and also in the future certainty we await as people who “have been raised with Christ” (Colossians 3:1). In Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he insists we ought to “set [our] minds on things above” because our lives are “hidden with Christ in God” (vv. 2–3).
As earth-dwellers awaiting our lives in heaven, we keep an eye trained on what’s happening around us in our present reality. But just as the squid’s left eye develops over time into one that’s larger and more sensitive to what’s happening overhead, we too can grow in our awareness of the ways God works in the spiritual realm. We may not have yet fully grasped what it means to be alive in Jesus, but as we look “up,” our eyes will begin to see it more and more.
Reflect & Pray
How can you develop your “upward” vision? How can you set your mind on heavenly things?
Loving God, help me to set my mind and heart on those things that are of You!
Unrelenting snow. 😒 The worst.
Last night I watched an excellent vintage British newscast about the winter of 1963.
“Winterwatch Special - The Big Freeze of 1963”
So good I might watch it again.
Forgot to say it is on YouTube.
I remember the Blizzard of ‘78.
Even my 4-Wheel Drive bronco was buried in snow. The city was paralyzed, nothing was open, and it was soooo...QUIET.
We ran out of fuel oil and my parrot died. Grrrrrrrr.
...and does everyone a big favor!
Oh boy, even the parrot.😬
There was an ice storm in the 1970s that had our power out for days.
