The above Coronavirus news update highlights three things:
1.stimulus checks increased from 600 dollars to 2000 dollars - this is a step toward the commie dream of universal basic income. I know of many people who refused to work because they didn’t want a “pay cut”. This behavior is also significant in other Western Countries too. This check doesn’t help the USA avoid socialism.
2.California extends lockdown by 3 weeks - and I bet they will extend again and again. Newsom is an idiot and the only hope is the courts if anyone wants his edicts overturned.
3.Stocks soar- inflation leads to the stock market climbing. This is not a sign of an economic miracle. The more money that is printed (see number 1 above), the higher stocks will soar. Interest rates will climb and people’s wages will not go as far.
