Because very few Americans living here today had any involvement with owning slaves; many come from families who didn't even emigrate to the U.S. until well after the Civil War was over, like mine. And many blacks living here today also emigrated to the U.S. well after the Civil War? Here's another question: who is black [enough] to "qualify" for your "reparations"?
