What Lesson did you learn in 2020?
Posted on 12/26/2020 5:27:39 PM PST by MNDude
Maybe I'm alone here, but I feel like I learned a lot of dark lessons this year.
I thought I was already cynical and anti-government enough already back in 2019.
Little did I know.
What did you learn in 2020 that you didnt know before?

Earlier this month I learned that the United States of America is a failed experiment and it's time for a breakup. Quebec will eventually break away from Canada...Scotland and Northern Ireland will eventually (soon?) break away from Great Britain and it's now time for the decent, respectable regions of this country to break away.

I didn’t learn anything I hadn’t already learned through other dark times.
I figure my charge in dark days is to always pick up my burden and keep moving.
The US has been through much worse than this, and always survived.

Our entire government is corrupt and/or compromised by the CCP.
Thank God for President Trump!
Pray for our country without ceasing.

I learned a number of lessons. Both good and bad.
I learned there is more good in many people that is hidden until it is needed. And, even then, much of the time, it prefers anonymity.
I learned I live in a community that, when times are tough, works together to save its own.
I learned there is sometimes incredible strength in the least likely place/person.
I learned I do not know some people the way I thought I did.
I learned that there are times where compromise on my part, while hard, is worth the peace it gives someone I care about.
I learned that, as little as I trusted the government, I should trust it even less.
I learned that the hatred from liberals in the obama era is nothing compared to now. They are truly unhinged and frightening.
I learned that, even in my wonderful community, “protestors” can do as they please in order to prevent violence. RME
I learned that I am able to begin judging by the color of someone’s skin but moreso by the tone of their “voice”.
I learned I am a conspiracy theorist because I don’t buy everything that CNN, Fox or MSNBC tout.
I learned that I can be anything or anyone I want. Oh, wait, no I can’t but others can. I tried to claim I was a tall, thin, 25 year old billionaire model but the bank wouldn’t listen.
I learned that children’s lives (born and unborn) do not matter but violent thugs do.
I learned so many more things. But, the saddest one I learned was that my beloved country is gone. She is breathing her last and the man trying to give her CPR is being pulled away.
God Bless America. God bless us all. We need His Grace more than ever.

With all respect, the Almighty’s ‘final opportunity’ offer doesn’t come through a mortal man holding political office - no matter who he is.

Depending on the device you are using,
there are two different and independent things.
-
“spell check” will underscore words not recognized
and allow you to correct them if you want to.
-
“auto correct” will guess at words not recognized
and automatically correct them.
-
What kind of device are you using?

I learned that
- a pandemic can drive half of the Freepers crazy.
- a portion of Americans will not do what they are told under any circumstances.
- the CDC will lie to you to save PPE for healthcare workers instead of admitting they were at fault and trusting you to do the right thing.
- the NIH, AMA, FDA and CDC are too politicized or conflicted to make timely competent decisions about our heath care such as recommending the use of cheap effective preventive or early treatment medicines like HCQ and Invermectin.
- China is even more evil that we already knew.
- vaccine technology has come a long way.
- red tape can actually be cut. Thanks President Trump!
- keeping excess toilet paper and other goods on hand was indeed a good idea. Thanks parents! I leaned to do that from you.
- my pantry is not big enough and I'm now a candidate for the hoarder's TV show.
- growing your own green vegetables, may be expensive and a lot of work but is a good idea in a pandemic.
- sometimes companies have to be forced to try new ideas that save them money, like work from home.
- America's press and media can and will actually censure ideas, medicines and political viewpoints to an extreme level.
- election security hasn't had enough attention.
- online teaching doesn't work well with young students for many reasons.
- colleges can go online at a moment's notice.
- all restaurants need outdoor seating and drive throughs.
- alternative media can spring up at a moment's notice if existing media gets to out of line. (Hat tip to Parler and Rumble).
- America still reacts negatively to pedofilia. (Netflix)
- privatization of space flight with cooperation from NASA works.

You can’t trust Democrats, you can’t trust half of the Republicans, you can’t trust the media, you can’t trust elections, and you can’t trust the courts. Next thing you know someone’s going to say there is no Santa Claus.
