Rush's sign off was chilling. He could barely get out his sentiments. That final "Thank you" was hard to listen to.
All I can say is, "You're welcome, Rush."
I was in tears.
It sounded like he may not be back after the first. Prayers up Maha.
The man has spent his entire career defending the idea of America, and as his health is failing him, he’s watching as the slow creep of Communism becomes a full-throated assault. It’s probably killing him more that he knows his days are numbered.
But what about that last caller who said Rush's voice was like a father's voice?
God Bless you, Rush Limbaugh.
I listened too. I suspect that he got some bad news?
Cancer is a funny thing. If he can hold on another year there may be new treatment.
Yes. The sign off after the last caller with the Silent Night in the background...Many tears and heavy hearts in these United States after today’s show. God bless Rush for all he has done for our country and us.
I think that last Debbie downer caller was the worst kind of seminar caller imo.
That was most definitely a seminar caller, but the follow on calls after were about how much Rush meant to people.
I’m not sure that Rush expects that he wont be there next year, but it was his Christmas Broadcast, and it might be the case that he doesn’t expect there to be another Christmas broadcast next year.
Christmas is a frightening time for those who have lost loved ones and for those expecting not to see the next one.
You think about all the ones before and it can be very sombering to people.
How very sad. 2020 has been one crappy year.
However, God is sovereign, and His plans are not our plans; His ways are not our ways.
Very touching sign off for the year.
God bless Rush, a national treasure forever in our hearts.
just saw on twitter where he asked to have a blue check mark but doesnt have one
no idea the story on that...
The left already smell blood in the water. The voice of the conservatives succumbing to cancer combined with a successful theft of America... they’re going to be dancing in the streets like Islamists after 9/11.
That was my take away
Listened all day but had a Dr apmnt at the final 1/2 hour
Where can this be heard if not a subscriber to the live show ?
You weren’t alone.
I remember the first time I heard him 30 years ago on my car radio and thinking “This guy is great!!”
Sorry to have missed it!
I don’t usually listen to Rush because I’m generally busy during that time but I did hear him yesterday and I was sort of stunned at his voice. Incredibly sad.
I hope he hangs on to see Trump prevail.
Blue check mark, that’s cryptic.
I have been listening to Rush since 1986 when he was doing local radio in Sacramento. After all these years I consider this man an honorary member of my family. Honestly I cannot remember a broadcast where he sounded more reflective and sad. Really broke my heart. I wanted to crawl into the radio and tell him what an impact he has had on my life. Wow.
