At least four candidates are near the finish line in the U.S. coronavirus vaccine race, but how well they will work remains a question. A key point to note, however, is that the vaccine isnât an end-all solution to the pandemic. Thatâs in large part because any inoculations developed now are focused on simply preventing symptoms from arising, rather than blocking out the virus altogether.

Non stop spin from the little weasel.
Jill is not an MD, she is a PhD. Big difference.
Peruse later.
Well in that case, why the need for a vaccine? Acetaminophen or NSAIDS will do the trick.
Does it prevent the symptom of Death??
LEFTIST DR. FRAUD SPEAKS WITH FORKED TONGUE!
Never let a good crisis go to waste
Wow - a 2 month old article and video and you completely misrepresent what he is saying. I don’t care for Fauxxi either but don’t put words in his mouth that he did not say. You are acting like the liberal media
I think he’s lost the bubble. Seriously. When was the last time he saw a patient?
Do you still have eye damage. I remember you talking about it.
Drs dont know the answer to your questions
Perhaps genetics combined with viral load combined with entry point of virus....blood type...unknown disease lurking in your body...tcells ....etc.
Virus entry in mouth might not replicate as much and as fast as nose entry etc..giving body better chance of dealing with it
Also will depend on strain you got..and you could get more than one. Ravens had at least 4 strains in their facility
All still yet to be determined..if ever
You could listen to him say it himself. There is video of the Fauci interview embedded in the article. Also, here is the FDA document link. https://www.fda.gov/media/144245/download
On p. 12 they detail that participants are only tested for SARS-Cov2 if they present “acute respiratory illness” and need to see a doctor. The reduction in acute respiratory illness from Covid is 95%. This is very significant, and can keep many people from going to the hospital or dying. Additionally, on p. 42 of the document they talk about Suspected Covid cases. These cases, which are a much larger number in total, are not tested for SARS-Cov2, thus the designation as Suspected Covid. They don’t test the asymptomatic ones either. The vaccine was not developed to stop the spread of Covid and they do not test whether or not it has any impact on spread. They only test for reduction in severeness of illness.
In theory, yes. It reduces severe cases by 95% so that would mean less hospitalization and deaths. I would say it’s worth taking I’d you think you are at high risk. If you are not at high risk, then it is just an alternative path to herd immunity.

Can’t let people believe PDJT has had a success.
Trump “made it happen” in record time. So now it is time to denigrate the vaccines.
I thought Quack Fauci claimed to be a doctor yet he says the most unscientific thing regarding vaccines.
I am a mega Trump fan. Vaccines in record time is a good thing, and only Trump could have made it happen. No argument from me on that!
I just want people to make sure they understand why they would take the vaccine. If you are in the high risk category and think you could have a severe outcome, end up in the hospital, or at risk for dying from Covid, then getting either the Pfizer or Moderna nRNA vaccine is a very good idea! It reduces your chance of a severe outcome by 95%. That is nothing to sneeze at, and it will go a long way toward alleviating hospitalizations and deaths. That is a wonderful thing!
However, if you are not at high risk, then it is worth understanding that the vaccine makers are not making the claim that you are any less likely to get the virus. The vaccines represent a potentially safer route to herd immunity. By the way, this is also why Fauci says continue to wear mask and social distance. Vaccine recipients could be just as contagious.

“this is also why Fauci says continue to wear mask and social distance. Vaccine recipients could be just as contagious”
That’s not why he continues to wear the mask and social distance, he does it to keep the sheep inline.
Scamdemic!
