57% of Workers Support a Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccine for Return to Office: CNBC Survey
NBC New York ^ | December 18, 2020 | Laura Wronski

A majority of workers (57%) in the latest CNBC|SurveyMonkey Workforce Happiness Survey say they would support a requirement that everyone at their workplace or office receive a Covid-19 vaccination soon after it becomes available to the public. While political leaders in the U.S. have been hesitant to make sweeping regulations related to the coronavirus, business leaders may be in a unique position that would allow them to enforce strict measures in their work environments.

Public health professionals have been clear that vaccinations are the key to fully reopening businesses, workplaces, and schools. In the new poll of more than 9,000 workers nationwide, conducted Nov. 30 to Dec. 7, nearly four in 10 workers (39%) say they are still not fully back to the office, including 22% who are still working fully from home.

But company leaders and HR teams are in a bind: without a fully vaccinated workforce, they can't guarantee the safety of their employees, and yet many workers are still hesitant to get the vaccine — and even more are nervous about being forced to do so by their employer.

Workers in some white collar industries are a bit more likely than others to support requiring vaccinations among their colleagues. Those working in consulting and research (68%), entertainment and leisure (67%), and technology (64%) are some of the most in favor of requiring vaccinations before returning to work.

Workers in the health care and pharmaceuticals industries are no more likely than workers overall to favor requiring workers to be inoculated before returning to work (57%).

Since when have employers EVER been able to guarantee the safety of their employees?!

That is a complete CROCK.

This is about liability.

And control.

They weren’t horrified enough, as they gave many of the personnel of Japa’s infamous Unit 731 a free pass in exchange for the information the unit acquired while conducting such experiments as vivisection on prisoners, including Allied POWs.

In light of such things as this, Japan’s policy of mistreating POWs, the rape of Nanking, their use of suicide bombers, the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, their treatment of civilians, and last not but not least their mendacious attempts to this day to appear as victims because of Hiroshima/Nagasaki and their non-apologies to so many victims of their aggression, I think it’s too bad we didn’t have a third atom bomb ready for use.

I read an article about this one, and the infamous Unit 731. It was one of the most hellish things I had ever read.

Same here except my threshold of tolerance for the details was too low to read all the details. Horrifying, unutterable that so-called humans could do such things to animals let alone other humans. And Japan has never issued one apology, hardly an acknowledgement of it. That’s partly our fault for giving them a pass in exchange for such a poisoned chalice of information acquired thusly, though even otherwise Japan isn’t much for acknowledging or apologizing for their war crimes. But they sure can bleat about their “victimhood”- they begged for having those bombs dropped on them by their policy of no surrender and “fight till everyone is dead, civilians and all”.

The fact is taking the vaccine will not likely provide long term immunity as the virus mutates . So why make the vaccine a pre condition for employment when there are also effective alternatives. WHY ARE THEY PUSHING THE VACCINE SO HARD , WHEN THE TERM OF IMMUNITY IS UNKNOWN? ( What else is in that sucker?)

The proven prophylaxis drugs will BE NEEDED.

But no one is talking turkey about prophylaxis.

Its a laugh:. Read the truth:

Pass out the HCQ and Ivermectin, THE ANTI LEFT SUPER DRUGS

Well worth the read:

HCQ

Ivermectin:

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3914200/posts

Dosage Chart:

https://www.evms.edu/media/evms_public/departments/internal_medicine/Marik-Covid-Protocol-Summary.pdf

With Ivermectin as prophylaxis, the restaurants and bars all over the country could be opened. But the left wants to remove our Constitutional right of free assembly and free travel.MANY Doctors have been taking these drugs as prophylaxis all along.

That's partly our fault for giving them a pass in exchange for such a poisoned chalice of information acquired thusly, though even otherwise Japan isn't much for acknowledging or apologizing for their war crimes. Agree 100%. The Japanese have NEVER been fully held to account for their war crimes.

One particular horrific account I read was the diary of a Japanese torturer who described the "doctors" tying a naked Chinese victim to a bed spring so that the victim was upright. He described how the man sobbed, but then became resigned to his fate before the "doctors" sliced him open from chest to groin with a scalpel.

I lived in Germany for several years, and it is the complete opposite there. The Germans sometimes even go a bit overboard by beating the drum of their own dark past. The German public service television station ZDF used to have a program about German war crimes, atrocities, and Holocaust on television about every two to three days.

In German public school, entire curriculum are devoted to the subject.

Interestingly, when the movie "Unbroken" came out several years ago, it was perhaps the first time that many Japanese young people were given a small window into the nation's war past. The movie mainly concentrated on the cruelty of one guard, Mutsuhiro Watanabe, who was a twisted sadist who delighted in torturing prisoners, especially Louie Zamperini because of his Olympic past and fame.

Japanese youth paid attention because the actor who played the guard (Miyavi) is literally one of the biggest rock stars in Japan.

But he was only one guard, and the story is much bigger. The horrors of the Bataan Death March itself could be a miniseries.

Because I did not read all of the comments, perhaps I am repeating what someone has already posted, but if a person gets vaccinated, then why does that person care if anyone else gets vaccinated or not? So, does it matter whether it is 57% of the workers or 97% that want everyone to be vaccinated as long as you personally have been vaccinated? I think I understand the situation, but I am failing to see the problem.

Oh yes Bataan. It gave me a lot of satisfaction to see that General Wainwright was present when Japan signed the documents of surrender aboard the Missouri. He was practically a walking skeleton, and this was a General whom you would suppose to have received better treatment.
Thanks for the info on Louie Zamperini, I want to look that up.

For most people meat just magically appears in the supermarket on styrofoam trays wrapped in cellophane.

A few of us know otherwise...

If I have been vaccinated with a vaccine that successfully prevents my infection, why do I care if the person working next to me is vaccinated?
