Harrison Ford will be grabbing his whip and ramming on his hat for a fifth "Indiana Jones" movie, Disney has confirmed -- a mere 41 years after the first installment, "Raiders of the Lost Ark," was released.
Disney said in a tweet on Friday that the movie would be produced by its production arm Lucasfilm and released in July 2022, and that "Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character's journey."
The entertainment giant also confirmed the news in an investor presentation, saying the movie was currently in "pre-production."

Who cares?

What? Did he run out of money?
Hopefully they won’t put Shia LeBeouf in it as his son again.
Doddering Indy adopts an 11 year old obese black lesbian genius. They proceed to have adventures involving ancient artifacts that invariably reveal historic white privilege. The Indy movie our culture deserves.
Freegards
Indiana Jones and the Wheelchairs of Doom
But aren’t you even a little bit curious as to who (or what) Indiana will pass the baton to? Maybe that’s not a concern.
Perhaps you are a true fan, who will take each movie as a piece of art in and of itself. The storyline doesn’t have to always be linear or logical.

Good grief. The first film, Raiders of the Lost Art is the best of the films. The last one they did was just awful.
Next Indiana Jones will be a black and tranny. The whole cast will be LGBTQWXY&Z and foreign cast with him the token white guy - except all the evil protagonists will be White. Oh wait. That’s Star Trek: Discovery....
Does he trade his whip for a walker?
Indiana: “There’s a great treasure to be found, trust me!”
Orderly: “You certainly left me a treasure in your bed last night. Now let’s get you cleaned up for lunch.”
Indiana: “It had to be snakes. I hate snakes!”
Orderly: “That’s just a noodle in your soup, sir.”

Gay or tranny metrosexual black or Muslim guy...
I’m fine with it. Even Harrison and an IJ sequel at 50% is better than most slop out there. Worth at least a watch.
They’re not going to let George Lucas interfere with the plot again?
It will be 99 percent stunt doubles and CGI.
My wife and I were watching an old Charlton Heston movie, called “Secret of the Incas”.
Heston wears the same hat, bag, and whip. It looked familiar, then it hit me, Spielberg stole Hestons costume for Indiana Jones. I looked it up and sure enough, the wardrobe designer wrote they watched the movie several times and appropriated Heston’s costume.
They also stole the idea for the crystal that focuses the sun’s rays on the location of the ark.
I found what the title will be:
“Indiana Jones and the Lost Shipping Container of Ballots”
But, you know, what's totally missing in millennial screenwriters is any sense of FUN at all. It's like they feel they'll never impress the suits unless they're dark and bleak.
Is he gonna play President of the USA at that age?!
