Final update on the manhunt near our home:

As I suspected, the greatly intensified search after dark was, indeed, because the fugitive did (multiple times) fire at LEOs.

In Texas, LEOs consider that a personal offense -- and all the power of Texas law enforcement is loosed on the perpetrator. Such violations are not a good longevity strategy...

I'm glad I had the opportunity to thank and shake the hands of several of the participating State officers.

Police with sirens going pasted our house yesterday in direction of the MO Border. A helicopter started circling overhead. Cant find out why though.
