Parler Is Inept! I'm Done With Social Sites

This after over 50 rejections of what I typed in.

So I tried to join Parler. Their requirements for a password are as follows,

Use eight or more characters with at least one capital letter, lowercase letter, number, and special character.

So I did as they required. Yet, I was denied my chosen password 35 times before they accepted this password,

Which begs the question, why did they deny this one,

Now consider this password they suggested I use

aCb-1fd3-Q!&m

Yet they rejected over 35 passwords I offered that were very similar to the one they suggested.

Finally a password I offered to their password god was accepted. So now I was onto typing the letters from the Captcha so they will know I am a real human. I figure I'm in like Flynn now.

Not so fast.

For the next 15 minutes, and after well over 50 or more tries, I could never get them to accept what I typed in. Now I'm used to captcha being used. After all, seems like 99% of the places you go to join, or when you order things online, you have to match the characters offered to prove your are human.

Well, after many moons (seemed like) of trying to get past the captcha menu, I finally took a screen print to prove to my wife that it's not me but their stupid software. After all, she was already getting tired of listening to me yelling at the monitor during my attempts to get a password accepted. Now this.

Mind you, she knows the troubles I have at with fb. So she has been pushing me to leave fb and join a different Social site that will allow it's users the freedom to share what they want and believe what they want. Well, I finally decided to join one. Then this happens.

So, since Parler will not allow me to join their site, I will not waste any more of my time trying. Their ineptitude is beyond rediculous.

I am fed up with these Social sites. I will not be joining Parler, because they won't let me. I'm finished with fb, since I refuse to waist any more of my time on posting things that less than 1% of my friends ever even see. I only have about 1200 friends anymore. I used to have almost 5000 friends, but I was suspended many times, had my account terminated a few times, and now everything I post gets shadow blocked, or removed for violating their rules. You know, the one's that say you can only share immoral communist propoganda ideas?

Well, they Win. I'm out of there. Goodby and good riddance to these moronic social sites. My experience is that Facebook is nothing more than a wing of the Democrat Party, and Parler sucks for their ineptitude.

It’s kind of interesting for me. When I’m working from home I spend more time on social media. At least I did at first. When I get off the computer for “work”, I’m done. I got rid of facebook a couple of years ago on my phone so that’s not even tempting me.

I just have better things to do, even during the pandemic because I’m finishing the interior of my garage/mancave sheet metal building now. And then I need to grade my driveway, cut firewood, clean the property, etc.

I only really do the social media when I’m bored and shackled to a computer.

The sudden growth and addition of millions of new members has pretty much hosed the whole thing. I was unable to sign in for about three weeks, and was only able to yesterday.

I do agree that it is not a user-friendly site and “a mess to look at.”

I’m also frosted by their 1,000 character (not word) limit.

I’d like to see the Federation of Dyslexic Internet Users sue the makers of Captchas for discrimination against the handicapped.

I could never get 'verified'.

There is A LOT of garbage, Follow ME! and porn posts.

Pres Trump never moved from Twitter so what does get posted to Parler is second hand.

Trying to follow someone like Trump's Press Sec results in hours old posts about watch me on Hannity or pictures of her baby...

There are tons of 'echos'.

It appears that most people are there just trying to collect followers to their podcast, videos or trying to raise money.

FR is still the best place to get current news and there's no BS cluttering it up.

JEEZE they are having growing pains give them a break, Devin Nunez has been fighting for us for FOUR years I think you can spend a little time fighting to sign up to Parler Devin and Dan Bongino are having HUGE growing pains which is a very good thing people are fleeing twitter!!! Have some patience AND try signing up late at night when traffics isn’t as high!! I signed up a year ago and it was easy peasy!!!

I had no problem registering with Parler. My issue is the way it’s formatted and the way it functions. If you echo a post it takes you back to the top of the page and then you have to search for the place where you left off.
And, recently, nothing I posted on the site appeared on the site despite a popup window stating a successful post.
So, I stopped going to the site.
