In theory, SCOTUS might invalidate for fraud, and failure to cure same.
If SCOTUS gets aggressive in this (which we HOPE!) it may still get sent back to the state legislatures. Then we have to HOPE there is enough political pressure on Republicans in the states so that they would do the "Right thing."
Apparently the founding fathers thought this would be the best bet.
If SCOTUS Orders the legislatures to TAKE A VOTE ... and they REFUSE ... then perhaps SCOTUS or the Congress could cause their EVs to be rejected. (This is speculation of course.)
