They gave him an IV of fluids, an antibiotic and pain med.
It was a n00bie vet, not our regular.
His breathing is still very labored.
He did eat a few bites of chicken and got his (heart and a pain) meds down :-(

My sister’s 12+ year old beagle was on his last leg (heart) and could barely breathe or move a few months ago. The vet told her he would never leave the house.
The only thing the dog would eat was Schwann’s mini sausages. (My dad would give them to him a night.) It wasn’t long until he perked right up and and now he runs around like a puppy. His fur is shiny too.
She also gives him Silver Biotic liquid, squirts the gel on his food, and gives him a water pill when his breathing is labored.
