I have to admit , I'll use a cake mix sometimes instead of the cake recipe and I use canned pears. Still tastes yummy..

I love pears! My three-year-old pear tree produced about 40 pears this year. I’m going to have to plant Orchard trees whenever we move, I’m hating having to give these up.

The recipe doesn’t say what to do with the orange sauce. Do you just serve it with the cake? Or pour it over the cake after it is done baking?
