So instead, I shifted everything to Virginia. Flying into Reagan and staying in Woodbridge. Was surprised to see nearly all Southwest flights from Nashville to Reagan on Jan. 5 were booked. So I shifted my departure date to Jan. 4 and return on Jan. 7. Nonstop both ways. Cost the exact same amount in airfare as flying to Baltimore. So flight is now booked!
Now just matter of working out details of rental car, hotel, checking out restaurants in the area. Might even go to Mount Vernon since I have to drive right past it. Looks like there's no house tour available but I can still tour the grounds. Not decided yet.
