Remembering Hawley Lake as being the coldest spot in AZ on a number of occasions over the winter. Granted, it’s only 8,200’ in elevation but has some kind of unique geophysical characteristics owing to its location.
Having spent all of the last summer at 7,700’, I became institutionalized to the cool climate. I’ve chosen to sleep outside on my brother’s covered patio, to escape the stuffiness of the house. A refreshing 39 F last night.
I was offered a short winter job in OKC (in lieu of hiking) but didn’t want to leave before Christmas, so I’m sitting tight for the time being, mulling over my options.
Climate
Owing to its high elevation, Hawley Lake has a humid continental climate (Köppen Dsb) and stands as one of the coldest and wettest places in Arizona. In March 1973 snowfall was as high as 105 inches (2.7 m). Rainfall from July to September is also high, though not exceptional compared to many parts of southeastern Arizona. Hawley Lake holds the all-time record low temperature in Arizona history with −40 °F/°C recorded on January 7, 1971. It also holds the record for most precipitation in a calendar year in Arizona with 58.92 inches (1,496.6 mm) in 1978 – much of that being snow.[3]

And I believe quite a few thought there was fraud in the election. I don’t think the Democrat base is that securely behind Biden, that’s another reason they had to cheat.

Riots? The Supreme Court shouldn’t base their decisions on what they think the reaction to it would be. Only Alito and Thomas thought that the case should have been heard, what the hell happened to the three that Trump appointed?
I can’t even imagine how alone Trump feels. At every agency an institution people are stabbing him in the back. I wish I could do something to help him.
