Perdue appears to recognize incoming Biden administration on leaked call
Washington Examiner ^ | December 4, 2020 | Mike Brest

Georgia Republican Sen. David Perdue appeared to accept that President-elect Joe Biden won the election in a conference call with a GOP group even though he has yet to do so publicly.

Perdue, who, along with Sen. Kelly Loeffler, the other senator from Georgia, is facing a runoff election next month with the Senate majority on the line, and President Trump is heading down to the Peach State this weekend to campaign for them. Neither incumbent has publicly addressed Biden as the president-elect, as President Trump has refused to concede, but the Washington Post obtained and published a Zoom video of the two of them in which Perdue implicitly acknowledged a Biden presidency.

“We know what this change of command at the top will mean with our foreign relations,” Perdue said in the video, adding: “If we can keep the majority in the Senate, we can at least be a buffer on some of the things that the Biden camp has been talking about in terms of their foreign policy.”

The video was recorded Wednesday. It was a conversation between the two Georgia senators and former U.S. senator Norm Coleman who runs the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Georgia seems like a very messed up place. The Republican politicians have no fire and no loyalty.

One would have to be insane to give the Senate to Schumer.

It’s sad that the Washington Compost has so much control over you,

Agree, and Trump can GO TO HELL for having the nerve to want the Republicans to keep control of the Senate. Right?

Here’s the deal. Winning the senate may actually be a bad thing for conservatives. Having a rino controlled senate could actually hurt us.

Here’s what will play out. Pelosi will pass left-wing agenda. The senate with Romney (and others) will vote for the left-wing garbage. The media will declare it bi-partisan and Biden a great leader. Then in 2 years, Conservatives are pissed at the GOP and stay home and the House and Senate go more blue.

But if we lose the senate and everything is rat controlled. Then the GOP does what it does best. They actually fight from the minority. We can primary some rinos. And then we can take back the House and Senate in 2 years.

Winning the senate could actually be a bad thing for us.

BUT...then there are the judges that get appointed. There in lies the rub.

Trump winning and cleaning up the Georgia election system should be our sole focus for now, especially the people in Georgia. Not the Senate race, which is still over a month away.

DO NOT let them take your focus away from Trump winning, which many are trying to do, by telling you that Democrats will takeover the Senate if you don’t shift your focus to Senate race instead.

Because there is simply NO WAY we can lose the Senate if Trump wins! Yes, it is completely true.

This may be a surprise to some of you, based on the truth being withheld from you on purpose by others.

The reason why is called the Senate tiebreaker vote, that we would maintain if Trump wins, even if we lose both Senate seats. That’s right, if Trump wins, there’s NO possible way we can lose the Senate, based on Pence retaining the tiebreaker.

The tiebreaker vote is also the ONLY way Democrats can gain control of the Senate, even if they win the 2 Senate seats. So controlling the tiebreaker does guarantee control of the Senate, for BOTH sides, in today’s environment.

Once again, please remember, whoever wins the tiebreaker vote in the Senate, which will be decided by the Presidential election, will control the Senate. Period, end of story.

So by focusing in the here and now of Trump winning, we can accomplish 3 critical things, with regard to the Senate:

1. Guarantee that we will control the Senate, no matter what.

2. Guarantee that the Democrats can not control the Senate, no matter what.

3. Restore election integrity in Georgia, increasing the odds the Senate candidates DO win.

Any other approach other than putting Trump’s win first is a flawed strategy. The Senate race is still over a month away. Let’s help Trump win NOW and secure the next Senate race in the process.

Ever since the ‘election’, that radio station that Ericson is on here in Atlanta has been dead to me, except for 12 noon to 3 pm.

While I think Erickson is and has always been a blowhard, I want to keep the Senate and Trump. Trump would be convicted of the impeachment charges by a Dem Senate. Regardless of whether Trump continues in office or Biden is installed, it’s essential to keep the Senate in GOP control.

The game is fixed, or has all this voting fraud just sailed over your head? And why in the world would Trump hold a rally for this guy, someone who is calling Biden the winner?

Psst...the vote is rigged and this guy that Trump is having a rally for believes Biden is president-elect. But do keep dreaming. Reality isn't for everyone.

Perdue’s statement is actually a window into his soul.

He clearly sees the potential loss by Trump as a way for him to gain power.

First, power in the election by presenting himself as our last option, which clearly isn’t true (see post #10). Second by making the Senate the highest ranking Republicans in the government, should he win but Trump lose.

Now if I lived in Georgia, I wouldn’t let him mislead me, into making this all about him. I would keep the focus on Trump winning, and restoring the sanctity of the elections.

Then, in January, I would probably hold my nose and vote for him. But I sure wouldn’t let him misdirect any of my energy now. I would use that energy to light a fire under his selfish ass to get out there and support the President, and fix his crooked elections.

Here's the problem with what you're saying; IF Romney (and others) side with the Dems. That's an IF - maybe only a marginal IF but an IF. If the Dems get the majority in the Senate, there is no IF. As far as your theory on how upset conservatives will be, that's subjective. I can subjectively say that it will take a couple of years for conservatives to stop being pi$$ed and take another stab at it.
