They’re definitely as communist as they used to be. They’ve just gotten more sophisticated about their techniques and public image.
They’ve pretty much suppressed all private life in China, you’re just a member of the hive and valuable only as long as you can serve as slave labor, and you have to worship the state. I’d say that’s not something we want here...although with the Dems and their closeness to China, we’re probably going to get it.
The Covid “response” was a dream come true for the left, enabling them to impose total state control over every aspect of everybody’s life, livelihood and even thought (through censorship) ...and finding that we just accepted it almost without protest. And now seeing that it has become virtually the platform of the apparently winning party in the election, which will impose these restrictions on us fiercely and permanently, the Chinese Communists must feel that they’ve won after all, not a shot fired.
But they have not changed; we have.
