Did the mail-in vote count (2,589,242) in the presidential election in Pennsylvania exceed the actual number of ballots sent to voters (supposedly 1,823,148) and were 1,126,940 votes "created out of thin air"? No, that's not true: The Pennsylvania Department of State's website for election returns shows that about 2.6 million mail-in ballots had indeed been counted as of November 27,2020. More than 3 million voters had requested mail-in ballots as of the October 27, 2020 deadline, according to a news release the same day from Governor Tom Wolf's office. The 1,823,148 number appears to be the number of mail-in ballots requested for the June 2, 2020 primary election in Pennsylvania, not the November 3, 2020 election.
The claim appeared in an Instagram post (archived here) published November 26, 2020 showing a Rogan O'Handley tweet that read:
Today at the Pennsylvania election hearings, we learned that 1.8 million absentee ballots were mailed out for the 2020 election
Do you know how many were counted?
2.5 million
I'm no genius, but I'm pretty sure ***700,000** phantom votes is evidence of
Widespread FRAUD

Similar claims were made in an Instagram post on November 26, 2020.

The same false claim was later tweeted by Senator Doug Mastriano (archived here) and subsequently retweeted by President Trump:
The 1,126,940 votes were created out of thin air. I won Pennsylvania by a lot, perhaps more than anyone will ever know. The Pennsylvania votes were RIGGED. All other swing states also. The world is watching! https://t.co/zmnk34Ny23 -- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 28, 2020
President-elect Joe Biden received 1,995,691 mail-in votes, according to The Pennsylvania Department of State elections website on November 27, 2020. President Donald Trump received 595,538 in mail-in votes. Libertarian Party candidate Jo Jorgensen received 24,783, for a total of 2,616,012 mail-in votes. The website states that "These vote totals do not include any votes from mail ballots received between 8 p.m. on election day and 5 p.m. the following Friday."
The website's numbers show that the claims made in the above Instagram posts don't stack up because they fail to state the correct number of mail-in ballots requested: more than 3 million.
The number "1,823,148" probably originated when someone tried to look up the number of Pennsylvania mail-in ballot requests and landed on a page listing statistics for the June 2, 2020 primary election in that state, for example a page like this (archived here). It shows a dataset provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania described as:
This dataset describes a current state of mail ballot requests for the 2020 primary election. It's a snapshot in time of the current volume of ballot requests across the Commonwealth.
Specifically, it contains a table that lists the exact number of mail ballot requests for that election:
As you can see, this is not data about the November 3, 2020 Presidential election.
They go to great effort to show us what it isn’t but they don’t even try to show us what it is. Sounds like a shell game.
RE: You have apparently joined the other side.
You have apparently become so desperate that any untruth is acceptable as long as you win. I’m not going to lower myself to that level. We are and should be much better than that.
RE: Lead Stories is a biased outfit bristling with ex-CNN staffers that presents itself as neutral, despite most of its employees having donated to the Democratic Party, a conservative outlet has revealed.”
OK, Let’s say that they are ex-CNN staffers, can you tell me WHY the numbers they cite are wrong? That’s all I want to know.
1. ALL of those ballots were returned? Really?
2. Biden won 77% of them? Really?
Missed the excerpt in post #5. OK, so 85% of the mail-in ballots were returned. Really? Seems like a pretty high number, but maybe its normal... Still not buying that Biden got 77% of them though.
Now, THAT is the kind of statistically implausible response I want to read.
We do know that Republicans by a huge number, prefer to vote IN PERSON. Democrats on the other hand, prefer to vote by mail.
To answer that, we need to know how many percent of Democrats were likely to vote by mail. Without that data, we can’t answer that question.
https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/PA.html
Yes. More democrats did ask for mail in ballots but the Biden votes are still very lopsided.
I’m curious about the percentage of asked for and returned ballots for the heavily Dem counties.
Can you tell us why we should believe the single-source, CNN-heavy, Dem-backing owner and staff, “debunker?
I have a question, if we think there were 100K illegal votes, 98% for biden then are we to have the supreme court remove those votes from biden? How do we remove the illegal votes?
RE Can you tell us why we should believe the single-source, CNN-heavy, Dem-backing owner and staff, “debunker?
1) Because they source their data to the PA official website. See here:
https://www.electionreturns.pa.gov/
2) Because the Governor’s office actually announced that 3 million mail-in ballots were sent out A WEEK before November 3. See here:
https://www.governor.pa.gov/newsroom/pennsylvanians-urged-to-hand-deliver-mail-ballots-immediately/
Now, you can tell me that the government of PA is lying, it’s your prerogative. But you’re going to have a hard time convincing a court of law ( yes, even the Supreme Court ) that this is so.
Now, let me turn the question around to you -— You seem to believe the argument that a total of only 1.8 million mail in ballots were sent out and actually 2.5 million ballots were counted. Tell me why you believe this information and not the official PA data.
I await your reasonable answer.
Trump needs all the help he can get and yet he’s now distancing himself from one of his loudest advocates. The closer he gets to SCOTUS, the less he wants any of the lunatic fringe arguments to taint whatever good stuff his team have held back.
We already know some of the more insane voter fraud theories are actually being manufactured by Democrat trolls. But even when that isn’t the case, too many unforced errors have been made.
Example: Daryl Brooks, a black GOP observer who was blocked from observing the Philadelphia count, obviously ticked all the right boxes to Guliani to be wheeled in at short notice for a podium spot at... the Four Seasons, next door to the sex shop. Unfortunate, given he’s a convicted pervert.
At that point in the legal strategy the Four Seasons fiasco was more of an embarrassment than a fatal blow to the SCOTUS action.
But there must be zero tolerance for unforced errors like that from this day on - because if SCOTUS are presented with yet another raft of typo-ridden nonsense and a witness list full of known crazies or convicted felons, or the case draws on a theory that has already been comprehensively debunked, it WILL have a negative influence on the credibility of the rest of the case.
So keep doing what you’re doing, SeekAndFind.
You mean the NeverTrumper Governor Wolf wouldn’t tell another fib?
If They sent out 3 million mal-in ballots a week before Nov 3 in your area, how many do you think would be returned by Nov 3?
Yes, I believe the anti-Trump PA government would lies as much as I believe their anti-Trump “Supreme Court” ignores the law when making its own edicts.
Do you believe that Biden who dropped in every major demographic, and who had next to zero enthusiasm among the base, actually broke all these historic records and that nobody’s lying about how “fair and perfect” the elections are?
After watching video proof of sudden drops in Trump’s counted numbers and huge spikes in Biden’s, and some precincts running 200-800% of total voters in areas, who in their right mind is going to just nod and say, “Well, I believe the ones whose States had some of the largest unexplainable anomalies when they tell me all is right.”
All I’m saying it that, at the very least, one should take any information with a gran of salt and maybe lean toward the data that makes the most sense.
I don’t really care if you consider this a “reasonable answer”, and I don’t expect a response because I’m not convinced you’ve been paying attention.
Is he a democrat?.. If so, then it goes without saying... :)
GFY Traitor!!!
I could say the same to you, but I can’t bring myself to sink to your level.
You’re clearly incapable of rational discussion.
You are not worth rational discussion. We are at war. FOAD.
RE: We are at war. FOAD
Sure we are at war, but we can’t use false data as weapons. We lose if we do that. And I disagree, rational discussion is always worth it.
BTW, I hasten to remind you that there are rules in this forum against using profanities agaist fellow FReepers, especially when they never start using them.
Piss off. Go join the other side if you cannot see the truth.
I have never been on the other side. As for the truth, I’m not sure you want it. You want to win at any cost, even if it is at the expense of truth.
This is where we part ways.
They just keep lying.
