Your problem is almost certainly due to your use of fancy quotation marks. The advice you received to use notepad to compose your HTML was, IMHO, absolutely correct.
Also I had some problems with cut and paste adding in spaces in link code. Watch out for that. FR does not handle it well.

I would agree, but when I did preview before posting each and every link worked properly. It was not a function of the Word program, it is something that was added after I hut post, because it was not there during preview

This is a screen print of the original Hebrews post in HTML as I had it prepared, as you can see, the HTML coding is correct.
Like I said, I wrote it, then copied it, then I tested all the links in preview like I always do before I posted it, and all links worked.
Then I posted the commentary, and all of a sudden the links didn't work.
I too looked at the page source and the extra "s were there, but they were not put there by me. FRs software added the extra quotes after it was posted.
