The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.

I really got 'hung up' on the last two letters

This year, instead of having a stuffed turkey, I have a stuffed dog. She borrowed the turkey while I took a nap.
My grandparents arrived to America on Thanksgiving on the Sturgis. They were seasick so they couldn’t partake in the feast. I am grateful that I live in this great Country. Today, I jump with joy that Gen. Flynn is free.

Started with the first two words which revealed the last word. After that it was just finishing words.
The quote was confusing at first. Then I noticed the punctuation and it became clearer. It’s how one reads it.
