However, I completely agree with Assange and Snowden. I don’t think Snowden could return, because the Biden would probably kill him if he could.

Commutation would appropriate, pardon no, he deserved to be punished, just not life in prison.

I don’t think your familiar with the case. He was never charged/convicted of the “hit” allegations and prosecutors dropped it. I don’t believe he ever did this and denies it.

Morality trumps legality. He showed the US was well on the way of being like the Soviet Union. He was more of a whistle blower than a revealer of state secrets.
The fault starts with the federal government that did not construct what they were trying to do in the spirit of Constitution.
