Looking back and knowing how the GOPe operates, I wonder how many of these fringe “conservative” candidates were in there to split the anti-Establishment, anti-Bush vote:

Not really “fooled”. As I said, I knew he was a globalist, and was going to take USA to H3ll in a hand basket, just at a slower pace.

And I liked him better than pappy bush-who I NEVER ever liked, and was even more suspicious of after Reagan was shot.

I’ve never been one of those people who trusted politicians-of any color. Always skeptical.
