I have finally come to accept that lockdowns and masks and vaccines will be pushed by governments for at least the next several years. How do I know this? Governments, and many people, try to find ways to encourage things that provide a communal benefit, even if this benefit is fake. So if governments currently ban plastic straws, ban plastic bags, tax cow farts, and tax large SUVs all in the name of trying to reduce the global temperature by a quarter degree over the next 100 years, then why wouldn’t they similarly enforce massive restrictions in order to save people from the “deadly” Coronavirus?
What do we do about this? Other than primarying (this is a verb IMO) GOP politicians who are not Flubros and Flubras I don’t know what we can do.

Did you know the same groups that want to ban plastic bags are the same group who wanted us to use plastic bags in the early 80s to save trees?
The US also move from Glass Bottles to plastic bottles in this same time period.
Before plastic, we use to recycle.
Part of the problem will be that the millions who have cheerfully worn masks for months are now emotionally invested in them - even more than before! They cannot AFFORD to admit masks are, at very best, something that reduces transmission by a few percentage points. And that they may increase risk? Unthinkable!
After months of wearing them and lecturing others, they MUST insist forever that masks are better than a vaccine. Better than supplements that cut risk. Better than improved treatment.
The alternative is to admit they are stupid. And the dumber a person is, the harder they find it to admit to a stupid mistake. Which, BTW, I’ve made plenty of....
PS: I enjoy reading comments on the Daily Mail. DM is very anti-Trump but the comments are often positive. But mask wearing serfs in the UK get very angry if you question masks or ask why, if masks work, they AREN’T working in Europe!

Present yourself as a free and unencumbered citizen and let those who have agreed to accept governmental control-measures defend themselves.
If we just stop wearing masks, will the stores throw everyone out, close their doors and watch their revenue plummet?
