The Buffalo Bills closed as a 2.5-point underdog to the Arizona Cardinals at BetMGM. Keep that number in mind.
The Bills seemingly had a straight-up win when Stefon Diggs caught a touchdown with 34 seconds left. That gave Buffalo a 30-26 lead. Then Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins did the unthinkable, hooking up on a Hail Mary with 2 seconds left. That gave the Cardinals a 32-30 lead, with the extra point pending.

I would have love to been in a Vegas sports book when the Cards decided to kneel on the extra point attempt.
Another Black Sox scandal?
Then Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins did the unthinkable, hooking up on a Hail Mary with 2 seconds left.
DeAndre Hopkins is the player who drove his exotic sports car into a MAGA caravan, flipping off drivers to express his disdain for Trump and his supporters. Great player, but a disaster as a human being.
one game had a guy who clearly could make a touchdown..he was running away with it... and decided not to do it at the pylon screwing over betters,
i think it was about time management versus shaving point type deal but twitter blew a gasket.
I will continue to post this until I see it reported in the NY Times, WaPo, and on NBC, and CNN

Die, nfl, die.
(Who ever heard of not kicking a PAT?)
In fairness, there was a football reason to kneel down. If the other team blocked it and took it back to the end zone, it would have been a tie game.
So the coach was being prudent.
People still watch this horse shite?
I would imagine that they wanted to avoid the possibility of a blocked kick followed by a recovery for a TD.
Some of the “Boyz” in Vegas will make an example of some players. The coach may have a place kickers head in his bed?
Possible, but there’s a 98% chance against that happening.
5.56mm
Fair enough. Secure the win.
With no time on the clock, kicking the PAT wasn’t needed, if the kick got blocked and run back, it would be 2 points, tie the game and send it into OT, kneel on the clock, game over victory preserved....it was the smart and only move.
Well then. I change my post to tbe following:
Die, NFL, die.
I Read about the Browns point-shaving play, too.
This is the new normal now - cheating is expected and condoned.
Can't wait for tax season...
Sports are for children.
What is “NFL?” Some sort of sportsball thing?
In College, in the pros it is a dead ball as soon as the ball hits the ground on an extra point.
And what were the chances of completing that Hail Mary?
If you throw the Hail Mary then you should be paranoid that it could happen to you. So for sure take the knee. Why take a 2% chance of losing for absolutely nothing in return?
An extra point kick would have been a no time play. That would have given the bills a kickoff that they could’ve runback. It was a smart move. Not everything is nefarious.
