However when additional activity is performed by the computer, it can OVER_WRITE on the space occupied by the deleted file. When that happens, it is almost impossible to recover the data from the deleted file.

If the hard drive is big enough, it will be a long time before anything is overwritten, as new data is written to free space where it left off from the previous write, methinks.

In my olden days as a computer nerd, magnetic discs were (are still?) divided into tracks and sectors. A file name was recorded in a directory with a track/sector address. Deletion of a file erased the directory entry but the data remained until overwritten by a new file.
Tyranny is descending and everyone is under lockdown.
How convenient.

It’s true that the covid-justified mail-in voting has opened up the 2020 election process to unprecedented fraud.
Until 2020, widespread cheating was impossible due to the fact that >95% of voting was in-person Election Day voting - which by definition lends itself to one person one vote validation and physical accountability.
Mail-in absentee ballots were known to be much vulnerable to fraud - so election officials went to great lengths to mitigate those risks by adding powerful controls and verifications.
The massive covid-related change to mail-in voting was pushed by Democrats with an entirely cynical objective: namely to eliminate accountability and enable ballot harvesting. That was their plan all along.
But the Democrats have always been liars and cheaters as long as I can remember. I was only eight in 1960, but I remember my parents were livid - they were absolutely certain that Kennedy had stolen the election - and I believe it.
Hopefully, the Democrats have overplayed their hand this time - but I still contend that the real difference between 2020 and other stolen elections is not the extent of the cheating, but the courage of the man they are trying to cheat.
The ONLY way this happens is IF there’s a second revolution (or CW II) and once the other side is defeated....war tribunals are conducted and full trials of the corruption and treason is in full display for the world to see. Nothing short of that will we EVER see people (from the Left) going to jail! Not a snowball’s chance in hell..... :(

You are correct, but crooked democrats will use a simple App to over-write all deleted data with many passes of writing zeroes in every byte. I have that app which I use when I buy a cheap used laptop on line. It is ridiculously easy to use.

The time to prevent fraud was BEFORE the election. Now the horse is out of the barn. Electronic fraud is extremely hard to prove.
Drastic overhaul of our election system is direly needed. But democrats will make sure it will never happen. PDJT should have recognized this and made it his top priority during his 4 year admin. But with House in control of Nancy Pelosi, Trump would have been unable to reform the system.
A simple and cheap App available in stores can zero out all deleted data files in a matter of minutes.

Oh, yes. I remember my mom bawling like a baby when Kennedy stole that election.
I have heard from many programmers that if they had access to Dominion servers they could tell you where changes were made.
They are catching a lot of vote switching and vote deleting in the Edison data that was provided to news stations for election coverage
