Yeah, at this point, no more range, keeping everything for when it’s needed.

Just got a new melt pot to back up the Lyman but hope it doesn't come to cast.

I have molds for everything that I own. For full powered rifles like .308 I make my own gas checks, heat treat the bullets and reduce the charge to keep my barrels from getting lead deposits.

I am not really affected by current ammo prices because I have a large number of primers, plenty of my favorite powders, lots of brass and hundreds of pounds of lead. I have preferred to assemble my own cartridges for years. I have quite a few cans of eastern block ammo, for just in case because the berdan primers and the powders they use are designed to last for many decades in their sealed containers.

[[[I was opening some old storage cabinets in the basement and came across some boxes of .22s that still have the Kmart sticker on them, don’t know how long I have had them, but 88 cents for 50, has been awhile.]]]

Guys around here have paid 9 to 11 dollars for a box of 50 rounds 22LR.

Gunbroker has a 1000 pistol primer listing currently going for $205 with several hours left to go!

Two years ago, they were under $30.

That is one of the reasons I have been shooting the bow and arrow this summer.

You can never have too many weapons, too much ammo or ENOUGH quality chocolate, IMHO. :)

“Shotgun, Hunting type calibers and 22lr remain available.”

Now that you mention it, there were only long guns in the locked case, but I was just passing buy - didn’t look into the front cases on the floor.

Luckily, less than a mile away we have a Farm & Fleet and they are still selling everything, though ammo supplies are low.

I have enough .22s to take me through a war. When I showed Beau my ammo stash, he immediately proposed, LOL!

That might be the New-New Thing! Ladies! Get yourself some ammo to lure in a husband, LOL! Forget the pretty dresses, waxing and perfume. ;)

The one I went into 2 days ago had only TWO bolt-action rifles left in the display case, lots of shotgun birdshot and a smattering of oddball calibers. That's it.

And optics, any optics - binoculars, spotting scopes of any description. I've cruised Ebay looking for good deals on those in the past, and that has dried up. Pretty well all are auctions now, very few buy-it-nows and none at a good price anymore.

I found some “centerfire rifle” at GunBroker.

It wasn’t cheap, but what do people expect?

I know! I have a cache of BOTH. ;) He loves those ‘stingers’ for raccoon hunting. One and done!

We raise Treeing Walker Coon Hounds for Raccoon and Plott Hounds for Bear.

Beau bagged a 480# Black Bear in 2016 - biggest one in WI that year. He’s got the ‘commemorative plaque’ and magazine write-up. Oh, and I bought him a Tiara. It means NOTHING if you don’t win that Tiara!

My ‘official’ title is ‘Puppy Wrangler at Abandon All Hope Farm.’
