I see this as highly symbolic, but will not significantly affect the supply chain with its potentially limited participation and duration. i’m afraid it will get swept under the carpet by media.
Depends on how big it is.
Hopefully, it’ll be massive.
I don’t disagree, but from my read the effort is largely from independent truckers. non independent trucking firms will keep the wheels rolling. The only thing that will really stop things is if chaos breaks out from BLM/Antifa riots in response to a Trump legal victory and refusal by all trucking to enter the war zones.
I did see a video of one of the truckers talking about this a couple days ago.
They should stop servicing the blue states. Period.
“Problem with this is its during Thanksgiving weekend.”
It’s tomorrow.
Independent truckers are the folks in the cross hairs.
At least at first.
Note to all truckers: We either hang together, or we hang separately. That applies to you, too.
Don’t think working for a big firm will protect you forever.
IIRC, there are two strikes planned. The first, I suspect, may be a tune-up. That one is this week. The second will happen during Thanksgiving week.
So you want to drive and make money. Fine. It’s still a relatively free country. Remember, though, that once the Biden/AOC Green New Deal is implemented, gas will be either a thing of the past or $8/gallon. Peaceful protests are American. Medical supplies are being moved. Nobody will die without deliveries for one day.
Oh. Thanks. I did see the date range of the second protest, but thought it was only going to happen if the first one didn’t work out.
Please note that this is the "second truckers strike" as stated in the OP.
I never heard of the first one, nor was it reported by the mass media.
Yes, it is a token expression in opposition to the proposed leftard "New Green Deal"
but without any resistance, the Socialists will have, and already believe, that they have a "mandate".
I know - So this would work perfectly :)
Thanksgivings on a Wednesday this year? Oh, wait..2020.
...so it’s ‘Stop the Tires’ for ONE DAY tomorrow, and if that doesn’t rattle some cages; then it’s ‘Stop the Tires’ for FOUR DAYS November 26 thru 29. Good times.
On 11-11 its only a 24 hour strike and if that is not heard than 11-26 thru 11-30 it’s a 4 day strike. If we as a nation cannot make it 4 days then we are truly in a sorry shape.
If Biden's able to steal this election he'll send jobs back to China by re-regulating everything in our country... so we can't afford to produce here...
We're with you.
So it keeps growing. Very interesting!
Thanks A few load
of goods may be delayed. My people have tomorrow off.
Since the powers that be have thought this would be a possibility, they would try to control communications.
yep. 40,000
