I am not sure about all printers, though I will take your word for it. I am pretty sure all govt printers would have some type of serialized mark. Additionally, they almost always keep track of the number of copies, so an audit shouldnt be difficult.

Sorry for the vanity but there is a lot of confusion on this.

And you've just added to it. You do realize that ballots are printed by printing companies using offset printing presses, not laser copiers?

If this is true, why aren’t they being checked? That is the FIRST thing that should have been checked. You don’t hear the Trump camp pushing it, though. This is a Q fantasy, nothing more.

This is true way beyond the scope that most people imagine. Every printer, including commercial and home use, be it laser or inkjet marks every page with its serial number. This is not restricted to large commercial presses. If you print something it can be traced. It is especially true for commercial presses.

There is some truth to this - secret watermarks are imbedded in most printed paper. This is done separately from any requirement for ballot watermarking, which may or may not exist, depending on jurisdiction.

This secret “serial number” is how they caught the girl from Georgia who was leaking info to the press. She posted printouts of some of the information she had, which allowed them to track down the printer to her office.

Doesnt all copiers retain a copy of everything they make a copy of too?

This is true on color printers. I don't know if it is also on black and white ones.

Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.

There aren’t millions of ballots printed in China.

I understand what you are writing is correct. But it’s not relevant.

People are going full blown Alex Jones. The more crazy it sounds, the more folks will chase it.

“Fetch” isn’t happening. Chinese ballots are not happening. Come up with something better.

If a voter can be tied to vote, then there is no anonymous voting, the cornerstone of our right to vote for 200 years.

That would be make the whole concept of the secret ballot is a fraud.

Both parties would haveen been committing criminal civil and voting rights violations on every single voter since the 1980s.

The current fight going would be a Matrix-movie level illusion.

Programming computers to cheat and stuffing ballot boxes after Tuesday is more reasonable explanation.

No matter how they are doing in the Democrats are still trying to destroy the country.

But with about 100 million supposedly legit ballots mailed out, most of the ballots they stuffed probably were printed on legit paper.

This is an anti-counterfeiting measure. It is not ballot-specific.

I think that any given printer who is contracted to produce official documents would automatically put watermarks and/or other encoded information to deter others from trying to counterfeit the documents.
