There’s been a lot of speculation that Lashana Lynch’s No Time To Die character, MI6 agent Nomi, would be Bond’s replacement as 007 – and now the star herself has confirmed the news.
Though Nomi had previously been confirmed as a 00 agent, we finally know for certain that she’ll be taking up James Bond’s old mantle, with Bond himself retired at the beginning of the film.
Speaking about the role during an interview with Harpers Bazaar, the Captain Marvel star revealed the news and addressed the online abuse she faced when the rumours first surfaced earlier this year.
“I am one Black woman – if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attacks, the same abuse,” she said.
“I just have to remind myself that the conversation is happening and that I’m a part of something that will be very, very revolutionary.”
Liberals ruin everything.
The absurd society in that show looks like utopia compared to what the dims want to inflict.
The whole reason for James Bond was the action and the seduction. If a woman does it she just comes across as a slut!
Brilliant move! Not only will she kill off “bag guys,” she’ll off the whole Bond audience.

I met Dirk Benedict at the first DragonCon I ever attended.
He seemed pleasant enough to talk to.

Idris Elba fits the role of James Bond as well as Jackie Chan fits the role of John Shaft.
ENOUGH with the blackwashing of iconic characters.
Seriously. At what point does “black (skin pigment)” or “evidence of/lack of a vagina” no longer become a point of topic in a conversation when we are talking about anything? Why are we STILL defining people/ideas/movements by their genitals or skin color?

There was some talk of Halle Berry doing a spinoff - she would have played Jinx again, not another 00. I would have found that acceptable.
Daniel Craig though was wearing thin on me...I did see Skyfall but not Spectre. I do not intend to see this next one.
Sean Connery suggested the idea of a black Felix Leiter (Never Say Never Again) - he thought it would give the role more visibility.
I’d go for something with Tiger Tanaka.
