Think about this: in 1785, they decided that ANY new state out of the NW territory should have no more than 5 and no fewer than 3 states created out of that.

Think of 1 state: MI-WI-IN-OH-IL and the # of reps it would have. Or think of 25 states in this area with 2 senators each!

Yet at that time they didn’t have EITHER a House or Senate!

By that point a President will have already been elected one way or the other. If neither candidate has a majority of the Electors on the day the Congress meets to tabulate the Electoral College's votes, the House will elect the President and the Senate will elect the Vice President.

That would be great...IF Trump loses the house will appoint Biden (hopefully). Trump can be VP. There is no way Biden survives 4 years. Trump can run again since he wasn't elected in 2020. So Trump in 2024.

Can’t the courts order the contested states to throw out and not count ballots submitted after the polls closed?

Absolutely. In some states the courts have already permitted the states to count these ballots but ordered them to be counted separately in anticipation of legal challenges. If these ballots were accepted in violation of state law they can legitimately be excluded from the counts.

The state legislature will send a slate.

That is true, but if a state law specifies the electors are selected by a vote of the people, it will be challenged in court, and be forced to the SCOTUS.

The Constitutions says the state legislature alone gets to determine how electors are selected. Even the governor is not required to sign such decree.

It was the same process as electing Senators before the 17th Amendment.

But we know the SCOTUS can decide against the Constitution.

I don't think that can happen under normal circumstances. I'm almost certain that the Senate can only select one of the VP candidates whose ticket has received an electoral vote to fill the office, and if more than three President/VP tickets have received at least one electoral vote then the VP has to come from one of the top three.

One intriguing possibility would be for a group of GOP electors from states where "faithless electors" are permitted by law to cast votes for Donald Trump for VP just so he can qualify as one of the top three. That would be something else, wouldn't it?

A state law does not override the U.S. Constitution, and there is nothing that legally prevents a state legislature from changing its process for selecting electors after Election Day.

In theory, this would probably only happen if the ballot collection and counting process in a state was so fouled up that a true winner could not be legitimately determined.

And that is what I am calling bull on.

There will be no rebellion.

Everyone carries their government minder in their pocket, and they post their lives on FB, Twitter, etc.

The few who don’t, the government knows they should be actively watched.

It’s hilarious hearing you and any of the other folks here seriously speaking of violent rebellion.

YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED.

But your nieces, nephews, anyone willing to be in the New World Order, they ARE protected.

Go for it, see what happens!

On Jan 20th, 2021 who is the POTUS? It looks to me like in a crisis Pelosi may take over the Executive branch until a clear winner is named

Try reading the Constitution and get back to us.

If anyone from the House becomes acting President on January 20, 2021 it's just as likely to be Kevin McCarthy, or Mike Pence.

The GOP of Graham, Romney and Sasse will force Trump to concede once states certify elections. It’s the Dem fantasy come true, unfortunately.

You have no idea of the forces that are organized and waiting in the wings in case our constitutional govt is directly threatened. Of course action will be taken that will take your naive breath away. It just won’t be me. You don’t know what you are talking about.

Every redline has been crossed that I have *ever* read about in this website or declared by patriots.

Nothing happens.

Everyone knows, you step out of line, you get nailed back inline or imprisoned.

“forces that are organized” is zilch. We don’t organize like the Left.

We will eventually, once enough of our kind actually get killed by the left. But the bar will be very high, since it is so easy to be detected nowadays.

Just the breaks!

We will be “enjoying” the new Biden presidency in early 2021, and probably the soon after, Kamala presidency soon after. That presidency will actually make attainments of proper tools to wage a fight much harder to get.

Yet another redline that will be crossed, and nothing done.
