I enjoyed his roles.
Another one passes, and reminds of us our fallibility.
I don’t see much in the way of replacement of these people.

And one of the best looking gentlemen on the planet, well into old age. RIP, Mr. Connery.

The latest incarnation of 007 is going to be an androgynous looking black woman, no figure to speak of, but with a glum, bored expression. If Michelle Obama had a slim, younger sister, it would be her.

Ian Fleming personally advised Sean regarding his role of James Bond. I think he was pleased with Connerys portrayal.

R.I.P. Prayers to his fans, friends & family!
However, I'd like to bring a fun piece from Sean Connery's recent past. When he was 79 in 2009, he was diagnosed with a heart condition. As is usual, it was reported that his doctors advised a change in his diet which included abstention from alcohol including his favorite red wines. This below was his response to this advice;
"I favour Merlots from Chile for their value and I keep a good deal of California wine in my cellar. I have one that cost me USD 2,000 for two cases, which I think is rather steep." Now I cannot know if he continued to sip in these 11 years before his lamented death BUT any day that he did was probably a better one for it!

God bless his soul. He was the only James Bond I ever liked. I’ve never watched any of the other movies.
