They keep stating a fair number of people who didn’t vote in 2016 are showing up at Trump rallies. Assuming this is true (sorry, this is politics, I question everything from any campaign) and this isn’t their first election to be able to vote in, I wonder what the driving factor is? Riots? Extended COVID-19 lockdowns? Potential loss of jobs?
All. the above.
” I wonder what the driving factor is? Riots? Extended COVID-19 lockdowns? Potential loss of jobs?”
All of the above + the democrats are perverts.
He probably went to Maine to help get the RINO senator re elected.
Freedom?
I think a lot of the people showing up to the Trump rallies now are the people who were soured on politics until he came along and showed them, once he was president, that things can get better with the right person in charge.
They were probably very dubious about him in 2016.
For a lot of the people who went to the rallies in 2016, the same level of excitement isn’t there. They are still committed to voting for Trump and are largely happy with him, but don’t want to bother with all the bother of going to a rally again.
It’s kind of like when you enjoyed a certain location you vacationed in, would go back one day in the abstract, but you have already been there in the last five years and you just aren’t excited enough to spend money and your vacation days on going back anytime soon.
But your friends and family who never went to that location and have heard you talk about it in glowing terms are planning a trip.
All of the above.
I dont think this is a single issue election by any means.
Probably the thing that Trump said at the debate that resonated the most with people was about opening up.
Biden was all lockdowns, mandatory masking, and dark winter gloom and doom. NOBODY wants to hear that.
Yes.
There is a lot of young kids at Donald trump rallys. From young 20s down to 18. Im sure thats a fair chunk of them. I do think a fair amount of people might night have voted in NH. They got confused when my then senator didnt back Trump against Hillary. I think they just decided to do something else that day.
In 2016 both candidates had pretty high negatives. So I can see some conservatives not voting. Trump now has a some conservative creds.
Exactly. In 16 you had folks buying the Democrat line hed destroy the country.. or believed he was just another politician making promises he did not plan on keeping...
Now they know the country is fine and he is keeping promises.
He will get far far more votes this time around
Part of it would just be the youngest four years of voters.
