I know this is twelve hours after your postings, but wanted to comment. One other aspect is the utter chaos this constant testing is causing in hospitals. Medical record departments and clinics are swamped with requests for tests and test results. Our local hospital here in Idaho is experiencing an increase many times the normal volume.
I tried to chase it via tin-eye. The earliest use was 2009...but the early web sites that used that picture are mostly gone. There are 165 uses of it. I’m retired so I suppose I could chase them all.
