USAA has committed $50 million to nonprofit organizations over the next three years to help improve racial equality and positively address the employment, educational and economic disparities that exist within communities of color and low-income military communities. The goal of our targeted contributions is to help close gaps across education and job training, employment and income disparity.

Translated, USAA board members unilaterally decide to piss away $50 million of share holders and policy holders money.
Somebody should just hang.
I knew I was involved with a piece of $hit company when I complained about their continued support of the NFL a few years ago. They wrote me back and basically said, “Pee up a rope”.
That pretty much sums it up. Too bad. I used to have some faith in USAA. Not any more.
They also have a facebook page where you can share your thoughts about this decision.
It is going to be a pain in the ass but I am going to, after 55 years, close all my accounts and mover them elsewhere. I have children and grandchildren who have legacy accounts with USAA to whom I will let this be known and suggest they give some thought about if they want their premium dollars, and bank assets being used so USAA can with our money be a SJW.
Long gone are the days of Jaime Escalante, a Latino math teacher who taught a bunch of Los Angeles Latino “ghetto” kids Calculus, and did it well enough that they passed their AP exam.
Nope, it’s all division now.
See Rule 6, RFR: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” Roll with that idea.
Absolutely correct; as long as we give them unearned diplomas and degrees this won’t be resolved. In fact, it worsened matters because now they use those meaningless scraps of paper to sue employers because other employees (with real degrees) are paid more than them.
Too many have degrees with no real skills to offer an employer, so the gubmint forces employers to take them on anyway (the “diversity tax”). Since they don’t realize they are tokens/placeholders, they push their luck and ask for more.
I’ve seen whole departments replace their black staffs with Hispanic ones, and the reality is it works; without the racial chip on their shoulders, and with recent memories of living under their own peoples’ governments in Latin America, they appreciate the opportunity and get the work done. If they have gripes, they keep it professional and vent outside the workplace,
i just found this thread after having an absolutely atrocious 4 month long experience with USAA involving damage to my car by another big self insured company which ended up with my email messages (including to ceo wayne peacock, wayne@usaa.com) apparently going nowhere (certainly not, so i was told, to my customer file with them), the other company paying nothing, usaa paying the minimum to get my car fixed with a large deductable, as if i was at fault.
this is in california.
i went online this evening and found many online complaints along with the social justice shakedown stuff.
i want to move away from usaa as soon as possible.
which is the best insurance company to move to?
i also have had bad experiences with allstate.
how about farmer’s? i cannot recall having any bad experience with them.
or else, aaa?
i need the name of the best insurance company out there.
I have AAA and they are fabulous!!
