NFL ratings among Republican voters have been down through the first three games of the 2020 season, according to a report from Comscore ratings firm, ABC News reported.
The company categorized ratings by political affiliation, discovering that ratings in Republican households dropped 11, 17 and 8 percent across the first three games respectively, according to ABC News.
"These significant viewership changes reinforce the importance of having advanced audience information because media buyers and sellers have to adapt quickly when cultural forces reshape consumer behavior," Comscore Chief Revenue Officer Carol Hinnant said in a news release.
NFL viewership has also seen a decrease among independent voters. Ratings have dropped an average of 5 percent in independent households, and Democratic households have been the only voting group to keep steady ratings, ABC News reported.
The shift in ratings correlates with data from a CBS News/YouGov poll, which showed that 77 percent of Republicans view kneeling during the national anthem at an NFL game as unacceptable. Only 12 percent of Democrats shared the same view, ABC News reported.
President Trump expressed his views on kneeling in August, noting that he would prefer NFL games not to go on if players decline to stand for the anthem.
“If they don’t stand for the flag and stand strong, I'd be very happy if they didn’t open. That being said, I'd love to see them open,” he said.
Because...there are better uses for a Republican’s time than watching entitled behemoth millionaires lecturing them on social justice while taking a knee to the flag?

Yeah, well, most of us who worked hard in school, respected women, and were never arrested, don’t believe we should be forcibly subjected to being “taught” anything about ourselves or American history, by a bunch of functional illiterates whose only legitimate achievements in life are really good physical labor.

“for fun and games” is what I meant to add to the end of that sentence. I have mad respect for productive physicals efforts by those who do tangible things I can’t.

Since my Everton is top of the table, and they’re playing Liverpool tomorrow, I will try to give it a watch, but if they do anything out of line, I’m out.
