Robert Louis Stevenson was a fave, Richard Dodderage Blackmore wrote Lorna Doone which is the only book of his I ran across but I loved it. Maybe Charles Dickens isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I read many of his books and A Tale of Two Cities is I think my favorite.

Thank you! I read Treasure Island and liked parts of it. High school ruined Dickens for me. I've never heard of Blackmore, will try to find and read!
