A renowned Japanese jazz pianist has been robbed of his ability to play his instrument after he was attacked by eight teenagers at a train station in New York City.
Tadataka Unno, 40, who may never be able to play the piano again, was exiting the West 135th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue subway station in Harlem on September 27 when the suspects blocked the turnstiles and confronted him.
The musician attempted to walk around the group, but was yelled at and pushed from behind. He was eventually punched in the face and body.
According to Unno's wife, racial slurs were also yelled during the attack.
But police say no anti-Asian remarks were indicated in the report but the investigation is ongoing.
Unno was rushed to Harlem Hospital where he underwent surgery on his shoulder.
'I had no idea why I was shoved. One of them pointed at me and said, This guy just pushed me' to her peers. This was not true,' Unno told CNN.
'One of the others said, "She's pregnant," as if to imply that I had just attacked a pregnant person.'
Unno said: 'I might never play again.
'The trauma, both physical and mental, are severe, and I have no timeline for a full recovery.'
Unno said he is completely unable to use his right arm following the attack.
Jennings, an instructor at the Julliard School, and a good friend of Unno's says he is now suffering mentally and physically and is unable to play his instrument, which is his sole income.
'He's going to need some type of cushion to not worry about it, the medical bills, and he's going to need therapy,' Jennings told CBS Local.

Violence in NYC? Are you sure? de Blasio would never tolerate it!
White supremacists’?
> I have noticed the use of the instant lie by the lowlifes, both black and white <
While were on the subject...many years ago a friend of mine was walking home from a college class. It was dusk. A group of teens approached him. One of the teens asked him for the time. My friend looked down at his watch. Then a thought popped into his head: Im going to get hit.
And thats exactly what happened. One teen knocked him to the ground. Then the group stole his wallet and his watch (some irony there, I guess). Then the teens ran off. The cops never did make an arrest.
12 years? One can learn the score in 12 minutes!
A Japanese American Jazz group named Hiroshima? Delightfully politically incorrect.
“Until the fools in NYC wise up and vote in someone like Giuliani as mayor”
Go and read the Upper West Side and other wealthy areas of NYC Facebook pages. They complain DeBlassio and Cuomo are not liberal enough.
These people are insane.
Until Black Americans acknowledge this pathology in their community nothing will change, although the move away from Democrats is helpful.
Jagoffs.

That's quite a remarkable story, there.
It has happened pretty fast, too. The last time I was in NYC was 2014, not long after de Blasio took office. I spent the whole time in Manhattan and stayed mostly around the Upper East Side and Midtown, so maybe this isn’t representative, but it was clean and safe.
Just 3 years later, in 2017, my wife spent a few months there for work. She stayed in the same part of town. She says it was like night and day. Filthy and dangerous.
Neither of us have been there since, but my wife has family who, until last year split time between the Upper East Side and Florida. According to them, it has only gotten worse, and now they live in Florida full time.
It’s sad. For all of the things that have irritated me about New York and New Yorkers over the years, it really was a great place once.
People from the Hamptons harm this country more than street thugs

Can you justify that really stupid remark?
Is it supposed to be some kind of anticapitalist screed? Maybe you should go back to Dummies Underground!
Well, they must be black. If they’d been white, it would have been on the front page of the New York Times and all over CNN.

The liberal elite have power.
They make the decisions not to police street crime.
But much worse decisions too - the ones we are all on this forum because of.
This must be part of that White Nationalist and White Supremacy movement Christopher Wray of the FBI is so worried about.

That’s too bad. It is a beautiful state. Lived and worked in Manhattan many years ago. Cuomo and Deblasio have ruined it.
Disaffected yutes.
His IQ? The number of bastards he’s sired? His murder count?
Hate to say it, but I’m sympathetic in only the most superficial sense. He probably bought into the “vibrant neighborhood” narrative, and would think any person who avoided Harlem entirely is a racist.
