YOU: My issue was Dana Boente and two other JD attorneys who were (I read) widely attributed, for convincing Sessions to recuse and thereby free the Coup Clan to carry on. In fact, Sessions said, “’attorneys’, in the JD”.
Me: Boente is deep state. The deep state’s goal was portray Sessions as Trump’s fixer sent to make sure the Russia investigation did not “find anything” on Trump.
Comey told Sessions he was under investigation and that knowledge - just the investigation itself - would be used to tarnish the Trump administration if it got out. How could Sessions serve in any capacity as AG while it was publicly known he was under active FBI investigation for protecting Trump through the Russia hoax? What was made public was not the same as what happened behind the scenes, as usual. What was public knowledge was not that Sessions was being investigated by the FBI for collusion. So, Comey’s true role never “got out.”

You: (I actually missed that Comey was ever directly named, by Sessions, or media, but don’t doubt it.)
Me: It was, I think, in Session’s open letter to the public, which about 5 people read, prior to his senate race election.
YOU: Trump’s fury was over the fact that, If, a nominee for Attorney General of the United States Justice Department was in some way, Vulnerable to influence wrong doing or the “appearance” of it, one would that a competent AG nominee for that particular office should be the first to know he was vulnerable, already, and bow out asap.
Me: Again, the goal was portray Trump as knowingly inserting Sessions into the AG position to protect him. It seems Trump and Co. were aware as everyone was of Session’s role and that was fine through confirmation - nothing to concern anyone. Then as soon as he was confirmed and accepted the position, Comey told him it was worse, and that he was under investigation. Recall the grip the FBI had at that time, and what they did to Flynn. They were doing the same thing to Sessions - fake charges and a formal investigation. No, Trump did not know about that in advance.
Run the scenario in your mind - what would happen if Sessions did not recuse? What leaks would reach the NYT about Sessions supposed active role in the Russia hoax, his purported task of protecting Trump therefore his refusal to recuse, even as he himself was being investigated for complicity. The Dems (Pelosi/Schiff) et. al. were hard at work ginning up a Constitutional crisis - they would have used the accusation to portray Trump as flailing out of control fighting to hide his crimes etc.
Instead, Sessions recused but would not resign. Trump didn’t fire him. They had to wait out the rules of succession and the time frame that the rules were active. Sessions hung on until the rules expired to allow a new appointment. Whitaker, as “acting” AG could not view the ongoing investigation and halt it. Barr was the first to see it.
You: The events that Sessions was criticized for were all public knowledge, took place in public settings, or a common senatorial in-office reception, with witnesses. The Senate Confirmed him, knowing that senators in the course of their job receive foreign visitors.
Me: No. Sessions was critized for public actions - Comey presented other accusations like Flynn received “other” accusations. For example, they threatened Flynn’s son and according to Powell, they forced an agreement from Flynn that he wouldn’t mention that during the trial. This is how the FBI works.
Trump railed against Sessions to make the point that Session was not the puppet that the left portrayed him to be. It seems to have worked because something kept the deep state from leaking that Sessions was actively being investigated by the FBI. They had tremendous control at that time - Comey in the FBI and Sessions recused, unable to use the evidence in the case to break their hold.
YOU: That Trump was stunned and in his own language that he thought Jeff had foolishly fallen for the advice of the coup clan “advisors”, embedded inside the JD, but never consulted with the POTUS, who thought Sessions had done nothing wrong and should have held the line.
ME: Again, Trump couldn’t undo what Comey et. al. were doing but he could make the point that Sessions was not his puppet. If we had an honest congress and FBI, the investigation against Sessions would have prevented him from making it through confirmation and being appointed. But, we have a deep state government so they intentionally held their fire until Sessions was appointed. Their strategy successfully devious in a way - people believed all was known ahead of time and Sessions just spontaneously chickened out, then took a beating for it but wouldn’t resign.
YOU: (POTUS deemed that it “should not have happened”; “I (Trump) should have been told he could recuse, and I would have nominated someone else”; “He never told me.”; “ He should Not have recused [himself]”.)

ME: The president is correct. It never should have happened because the FBI should have told the president in advance when Sessions was nominated. All those in congress who knew should have raised objections and not confirmed him.
Deep State Intel/DNI/Comey/CIA and others all remained silent even though they had access to pooled intel and an obligation to serve the president of the United States- no one said a word when Sessions was nominated, confirmed, or appointed. Only after it was sealed SUDDENLY Comey tells him he’s being investigated.
Look how well it worked. Sessions would be expected to resign and the deep state would have the Attorney General’s office, DNI/FBI/CIA while the fake investigation rolled on. Barr never would have seen the evidence so their false accusations would hold and Mueller’s report would have been VERY defferent. Someone call the police! Wait...wait...the police have fallen!
With freedom around the world at stake, Jeff Session went to work every day, the object of the wrath of the public, the deep state and the leader of the free world. Would have been easier to resign, but he never left his post.

Actually, I should have included the next paragraph from Sessions’ open letter in my prior post:
“Some have asked, why take the job as Attorney General if I knew I would have to recuse myself from the investigation? I knew no such thing. I wasn’t informed of Comey’s secret investigation until after I became Attorney General, and the investigation wasn’t publicly confirmed by the FBI until weeks after my recusal.”
Might work in a movie, but strictly no go in a for-real submarine. (Or really most any IRL military setting.)
Anything happens at all involves absolutely everybody aboard/in the unit. Don't have any room for spectators.
Multiply that attention level by a couple orders of magnitude when you involve major weapons systems.
(Only way the derps could pull off a deal like that would be to have both an active submarine and a crew to man it. Then buy crew silence or kill 'em all...)
