Never introduce a predator that you can't control.
We already have predators that can be regulated: us.
IOW: Allow hunting.

Some of their spiders there are big enough to catch birds in their webs and eat them.

I went to a wildlife park there where they had the devils in a walled enclosure. The walls were only about 4 feet high, I could easily lean over the wall to see them. They ran around the perimeter screaming most of the time. Apparently they can’t climb. Cats should have no trouble avoiding them.
