I was wondering if any of your churches prayed for Trump and others who have Covid.
I found it interesting that mine did not. I can't remember a church not praying for a president who was in the hospital. It turned me off.
Yes ours did. St Francis De Sales
Yes specifically by name, for him and the first lady. Also for a couple of local people who have tested positive.
Yes, we had an intercession for the President and the First lady at Holy Mass this morning, even here in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts...
Yes, mine did.
EWTN Mass did.
Every Sunday we pray for Donald our President.
Yes
There are prayer threads here at the church of the Free Republic
“...from what he could tell, the President wasnt saved. “
No human being can make that determination and it doesn’t happen until after death, anyway, as the final moments of life can be important for some.
We just moved out of California to Arkansas. I was in Dallas this weekend and driving home. I decided to listen to my old church.
We’ve been visiting a church in Arkansas. They meet outside and the held a voter registration event last weekend. They seem very conservative! I’m going to listen to their service and see if they prayed for Trump.
I’d be wanting my church to pray for a deomcrat president too.
Ours always prays for the presidents, even the bad presidents. Today, it was more specific for PDJT’s health.
My church did not. The pastor said, “We should pray for the country” like it was a hopeless cause and he sounded disgusted. Two people that comprised the choir were the only ones allowed to sing, congregation forbidden to sing behind their masks, and they sang a hymn I hate, “I love my country but remember other nations love their country too” meaning don’t be cheering for the US.
Then you might not be in a church but a political social club.
Mine did, though we had to watch it online.
Great point...ear. Thanks. What a “tell”.
Yes, and for the First lady.
Time to find another church.
Mine did not. Did not even mention prayers for our leaders.
Indeed. Our portion of the Body of Christ help Mr Trump up daily and hourly.
We also prayed that Mr Biden would repent.
We fully expected Mr Trump to be made well. But alas, methinks our hopes for Mr Biden were not so optimistic.
Some churches would excommunicate you just for asking!
“How Dare You?”
