LONDON -- Irelands Supreme Court has issued a ruling declaring that for the purposes of tax law, the bread served in Subway's hot sandwiches does not actually meet the legal definition of bread because of its sugar content and is rather a "confectionary or fancy baked good."
The case was brought before the court by Subway franchisee Bookfinders Ltd. which claimed that the bread Subway served qualified as a staple food, which, in Ireland, means that the bread would be exempt from value-added tax (VAT), thereby saving Subway money.

I agree. My findings have been similar. The Framingham study had been comoletely misinterpreted and of course the wrong Big Food interests were pushing dodgy studies and theories.

I watched a bunch of bread videos earlier in the year. The #1 consensus on what causes a bad loaf of bread is too much flour.

Bread is just plain bad for you.
Bread was a big part of the ancient Egyptian’s diet.
The adults were overweight, and the men had “man boobs”. Cat scans of mummies show they had heart disease and diabetes.

One Oreo cookie? Really? If your body, blood sugar, whatever, cant handle one oreo cookie, then yeah, you need to be really proactive about knowing what youre putting in your mouth. Probably shouldnt be eating any fast food of any kind.

Most people should.

Of course, but I think most people can handle one oreo cookie without too much concern. That said, Ive never liked Subway, cant remember the last time I ate there.

They undoubtedly can and of course they have the right to eat as they please, but they know what they're getting with an Oreo. Most people don't expect to be getting the same amount of sugar when eating a sandwich.
